PORTOS
I’m beginning week 3 of IMRT after a small uptick in my PSA from .01 to .03. Things are going well but in my head I am bugged by the fact that I had a low PORTOS score associated with my DECIPHER GRID. Neither my urologist nor either of the two RO’s I spoke with before treatment seemed very interested

Decision Matrix Conundrum
So I completed IMRT to my left hemi-pelvis with boost to 2 nodes there that lit up on Ga-PSMA scan last October. Used adjuvant ADT with degarelix plus estradiol patches. Approximately 5-6 months until T levels recovered. Post RT my PSA fell by about half (.25 to .15 and staying there for 3 months now

Clenil side effects?
Hi all - first post. I have mild asthma, which is normally asymptomatic, and only appears sometimes after a bad cold, which goes on to affect my chest. I have an asthma review annually and the asthma nurse knows and approves of the fact that I do not normally use a preventer, unless I start with a cold

Clenil Shortage
Hi! So I am on Clenil Modulite 100mg inhaler, and ordered my repeat last week to discover that the pharmacy can’t get hold of any (I thought they might as I’d seen the Asthma UK Facebook post)... the pharmacy team at my GP surgery has called me to say that yes there is a global shortage, but they’ve

Working in a Nursery and Stricter Social Distancing
Just seeing the latest update from Asthma UK about who exactly needs to isolate for 12 weeks... I don't think I am covered as my Clenil Modulite is just under the dose they've classed as high, and although i was prescribed Montelukast I didn't get on with it, and my last course of steroids was just over

Anyone On Dymista?
Hi! So, I am currently taking Dymista spray due to severe hay fever and eustachian tube dysfunction, I was prescribed this a year ago but was previously on Avamys. As my hay fever has kicked in I happened to check the patient leaflet to see if I was on maximum dosage (I work in a nursery and with all

“Undetectable”
Hello All, My husband (diagnosed 8/19 with APC - Gleason 9 PSA 77 - stage four with three mets) is nearing completion of radiation treatment for oligometastatic PC (three Cyberknife treatments with subsequent five weeks IMRT - seven treatments remaining). He has been on Casodex and Eligard since diagnosis

A Pain in the Butt
For a whole year after my prostatectomy I felt like I had a "charley horse" in my right butt cheek. I complained about it to my medical oncologist and he had a radiation oncologist zap my sacrum with 800gys of IMRT. About two weeks later the pain was gone! Now, many years later, I'm feeling a similar

Rectal problems following HDR and IMRT
Finished HDR and IMRT a couple months ago. Since then have had difficulty with bowel movements. GI doc not much help. Colonoscopy a risk due to my age 80. Recently read about a radiation side effect called proctitis which seems to present with the symptoms I’m having. Anyone having similar experience

Seretide and skin problem.
I took Seretide for about 20 years. During that period I developed a skin problem where the skin particularly on my hands became very dry and flaky to the extent that layers of skin would fall away and they would bleed when gripping things even fairly tightly. This could be painful. I was treated with

A small rise in PSA What do you think of my plan
I'm a 76 1/3 yo that has spent 2 1/4 yrs on Zytiga had IMRT, SBRT to the bone and on Xgeva. Psa was <.1 for 8 mos and has risen to .2 Alk Phos looks good. I'm expecting PSA will not go down and plan to try again to get Dexamethasone prescribed in lieu of pred. Will provide my MO in advance of next visit

Asthma Apps
Hi, I was diagnosed with Asthma nearly 2 years ago, and today had my annual review. Very positive on the whole, good control, good inhaler technique and my personal best peak flow has improved.. however she has advised me to be particularly vigilant this hay fever season (my biggest trigger), as I'm

Lymphopenia after whole pelvic radiation
To anyone who received whole pelvic radiation: 16 months ago I had HDR brachytherapy followed by IMRT and whole pelvic radiation (WPR), after 7 months of lupron and zytiga (+pred) (I just finished 24 months of lupron+Z). 6 months ago I had a whole blood count (WBC) with differential, and in it I saw

Post IMRT questions
Have not been here for a while. I had IMRT about 14 months ago and have been on Lupron for a little longer. My Questions: Had a recent heart attack (minor) and have a history of heart trouble. I believe I read somewhere during my furious research phase at the beginning that Lupron may not be the best

Fenbendazole probably not working for me
In my case I think it is pretty clear that Fenbendazole has not been effective. Old History PSA 5.3, RP March 2009, Gleason 3+4, focal PNI PSA undetectable until Oct. 2011 PSA 0.658, Salvage Radiation Sept/Oct 2012 No impact on PSA, RO clueless July 2014, Nano-MRI at Radboud

Aggressive Clinical Trial Patient at JH
Hi, I’m happy to have found this network. I’m in a clinical trial at Johns Hopkins. My treatment course is more aggressive than standard and beyond obviously hoping it eradicates my cancer, It should do a tiny bit to shed more light on the efficacy of early aggressive multi modal treatment after RP

Seeking Post-RP Advice for Very High Risk, G9, Low PSA
I had RP in Aug 2019 at 56 years of age. Pre-surgery PSA was 5.3. Pathology showed G9, negative margins, ECE, seminal vesicle invasion and 1 positive lymph node, stage T3bN1. Based on my 3mth PSA of <0.03, my urologist is taking a wait and see approach to follow on treatment. My 6 month follow up is

Stopping Casodex before stopping Lupron
I am on day 30/34 of IMRT Salvage Radiation. I started Bicalutimide just prior to starting Leuprolide Acetate back in November. I have tolerated the ADT treatment fairly well with minimal side effects. A Decipher test was performed midway through this per my request and my Decipher score came back
