16 days in hospital still wondering what is wrong.
I went for my exercise test which was stopped after 2 minutes as my BP had dropped to 88. Chest tightness and arm pain began which did not lessen with the use of a GTN spray. So I was admitted to Coronary care and subsequently to a cardiology ward where I stayed for 16 days for monitoring and investigation

Strange sensations
Does anyone else with Raynauds & Limited Systemic Sclerosis experience this? I can only describe it as a fizzy sensation in the large vein that runs from the thumb up the side of the wrist of my hand. The vein had become very prominent. I'm unable to take Nifedipine & waiting for a prescription for

Does anyone take fluoxetine for raynauds and does it help at all?
Hi, I was previously taking nifedipine for my raynauds but had to come off that as my blood pressure was too low and it caused dizziness. My rheumy today prescribed fluoxetine instead but I'm worried about taking it as it's an anti depressant and I'm not depressed! She didn't explain how it would help

Inderal for AF
I have been taking atenolol and flecainide for afib. The flecainide 100 mg twice daily no longer controls it and higher doses almost immobilize me. My cardiologist is taking me off flecainide and putting me on Inderal. Has anyone taken this combination of beta blockers? I am going to have to have

Confusing S-APS/SLE diagnosis/symptoms? Spasmodic dysphonia part of APS/SLE?
I get spasmodic dysphonia each time I have some sort of attack. I'll kinda zone out, my legs will go cold and then my throat will feel like someone is strangling me :(.. then I can't talk or when I do it's just a strangled voice. I'm a bit lost in terms of my diagnosis. I'm on clexane injections which

Update
I ended up in Emergency again with the atrial fibrillation. I saw my Cardiologist and I am back on Atenolol and Digoxin. The flecainide made my Afib worse. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Hello, This is my first post. My eight year old daughter has had Raynauds for almost five years. She finds it difficult to keep to uniform In school as its a skirt and tights don't help him much. She is under the care of a rheumatologist and has tried NifedIpine but it made the pain worse. The teacher

Hi, I thought I'd introduce myself as a new member here. My husband had a minor heart attack two years ago and was also diagnosed with hypertension, atrial fibrillation and sleep apnoea. He had two stents inserted and along with Clopidogrel and Atenolol, he began Acenocoumarol. He was told that

I have secondary Raynaud's should I be taking Nebivolol?
I have been diagnosed with Small Vessel Ischemia, (secondary Raynauds and Coronary Microvascular syndrome) it is believed to be via spasms. I am unstable, some stability was achieved last year by taking atenolol but it made the Raynauds worse so it was discontinued. A cardiologist in an emergency ward

AF for PCV drivers....
Hi everyone, I myself am not a sufferer but my fiancé is. He has had AF (undiagnosed properly until a few months ago) for 17 years, he is 45. I practically dragged him to the doctors and bullied people until they tested him properly.... leaning on your partners chest for the first time and listening

The MHRA have recalled 16 different prescription only medications made by Wockhardt Ltd. Including two medications commonly used by people with hyperthyroidism, Atenolol and Propylthiouracil (PTU). Understanding Raynauds
Hi All, I have been a member of this group for a while and found everyone's posts very informative and helpful. Thank you so much. it's reassuring that Raynauds isn't just a case of "cold hands" which a lot of people seem to think. My doctor suspected I had Raynauds last June when I started getting
