Recommendations for gloves?
Hi All, Thank your letting me join your community. I have primary Raynaud’s and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for gloves that people have found helpful? I have a skiing holiday coming up (probably not the most sensible idea in hindsight from my hands and feet’s perspective lol) so was

Insurance denials
Can anyone advise me as to how to get insurance approval for a ganglion impar block? My husband is completely debilitated with excruciating anal/rectal pain that began 20 months ago. After months of agony, visits to multiple specialists, trying lidocaine, Valium suppositories, nifedipine, hydrocortisone

Does anyone else have this kind of afib?
Hi there - I’m told I have a rare kind of afib where my atria is ‘impressively irritable’. In other words despite 2 ablations one on 2017 and another in 2019 my adobos/ectopics/tachycardia is fired from the wall of the atria itself rather than the pulmonary veins which have been tightly isolated. I’m

BP meds interference?
I'm taking Losartan Potasium, Lerconidipine and Atenolol for very high blood pressure, and cannot have the surgery I need until it's normal. I've been taking Dihydrocodeine for severe, full body RLS for nearly 20 years, but recently, the bed-time dose I take around 12.30am is only lasting for about two

Ramipril dose increase - BP has soared
Hi, I'm new to this forum but have been reading with interest about other people's experience of Ramipril. I was put on Nifedipine last year, then had Ramipril added but was switched to 5mg Ramipril only in June by a new doctor. All seemed fine at first, pressure was down and have felt well - not had

For some reason my blood pressure has shot up. I am already taking 50 mgs of Atenolol for raised blood pressure but this in in the danger zone with no apparent cause. The GP has arranged various Cardio tests, blood, kidneys within the next couple of weeks, having been alerted by my Rheumatologist last

Back on the dreaded Atenolol
Hi all, it didn't last - back on the 25mg Atenolol. I managed a week but the heart rate didn't go down (115bpm) and blood pressure stayed high. On the plus side no AF just atrial tachy. I'm going to try again though as i'm sure its the beta blocker that's making me feel so rough (slight ringing in ears

It’s been a long wait for my referral at Glenfield but only 4 more weeks to go. I took on the advise from others about seeking a private consultation to then go back into the NHS but even that route was a struggle to get any response. Looking forward to getting answers on what my irregular rhythm is

Going downhill!
Two years ago, I was given 50mg Atenolol to take daily. This worked for a few months but then I started feeling my heartbeat so Atenolol was increased to 100mg a day. This made me tired but I rarely felt a fast heartbeat. Recently I changed from Warfarin to Apixaban which made me even more tired - the

Apixaban
I take 100mg Atenolol which makes me tired but until recently has masked my heartbeat. I have recently changed from Warfarin to Apixaban and I seem to be more tired and get feelings of dizziness / not being quite right! Has anyone had similar side effects with Apixaban - or could it be that my AFib is

6 months since ablation
This week I hit the six month anniversary of my last ablation. Life in general is pretty good. When I saw my EP last month he took me off Digoxin and halved my beta blocker. Since I reduced the drugs I’ve had two short episodes of AF and one of Tachycardia. My EP has said to stay on the low dose of Atenolol

Last night we went out for dinner with friends. I usually take my Atenolol (I dropped from 50mg to 25mg 3 weeks ago) around 7.00/7.30 pm but I forgot to take it with me. Around 8.00 I felt those familiar crazy palpitations and when I checked with my Instant Heartrate app on my phone, there was a crazy
