I asked the practice pharmacist to change me from 1.25mg of Bisoprolol to atenolol and she’s put me on 25mg which have been taking for 10 days . My vision is a bit funny and I just tried to look it up and it appears she has doubled my dose ! Please does anyone have any advice for safely weaning off

Changing from Atenolol to Adizem XL
Hi, I had WPW and had a successful ablation 15 years ago. When I had my daughter 13 years ago my bp was raised and I was prescribed 50mg of Atenolol per day which I've taken ever since. Recently my bp has gone up and I have been put on 120mg of Adizem XL and stopped the Atenolol. I've been on the

Unexplained symptoms
In April I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation even though I’m not truly convinced that it is! I have been on bisoprolol then changed to atenolol. I have been deteriorating since then and despite having several blood tests and ct scans am no nearer to finding out what’s wrong. I feel really unwell

I'm new here. Atenolol is causing terrible side effects
After one episode of my heart going at 200 a minute for 24hrs over 10 years ago, where my heart had to be stopped and restarted, I was prescribed Atenolol to keep it under control. However, the side effects are killing me: muscle pain in arms and legs, pains in my joints and I can hardly move my hands

Atenolol once or twice daily ?
My cardiologists has suggested I change my 50mg Atenolol daily dose (mornings) to 25mg twice a day. I have been taking the one dose for well over 30 years for the treatment of mild hypertension but since the onset of PVCs he says taking the same dosage twice daily could help with the ectopic beats. Advice with best med for ectopics.
Been taking Atenolol 50mg for 27 years now for mild hypertension but since about a month or so ago I have started having PVCs on a daily basis. An ecogram showed a completely normal heart and subsequent holter test revealed about 3% premature beats but three different cardiolgists all say they same that

Symbicort 100/6 for COPD?
Hi. I've just been prescribed this inhaler in place of Fostair. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2010 after initial confusion as to whether I had Asthma. The tests confirmed COPD not Asthma. Reading the package leaflet it tells me this inhaler is SPECIFICALLY for Asthma! It doesn't even mention COPD! In

Meds don’t suit me
Hello I am female aged 62. Took Bendroflumethiazide for a few years for slightly high bp which settled at between 142/78 and 158/85. To try to stop the consequential and irritating need to go to the loo frequently the doc changed me onto Ramipril 10mg. Over the next weeks my Bp crept up and has stayed

Hi I am waiting on a ct angiogram. I went to my GP due to the tightness I have been having in my chest. It’s almost like it’s hard to breathe and the pain travels round to my back. It sometimes feels like indigestion. I have had cancer treatment 12 years ago and I wonder if it’s affected my heart, I

Change of Tablets
I would be grateful if someone can help me been on bendrofluazide and changing to Verapamil. Are they of the same drug family because I will still have some of the bendrofluazide left in me. I ask because I have bad reactions to some drug and have been in A&E because of them
