I would be grateful if someone can help me been on bendrofluazide and changing to Verapamil. Are they of the same drug family because I will still have some of the bendrofluazide left in me.
I ask because I have bad reactions to some drug and have been in A&E because of them

This is one where you really should ask a pharmacist. They are experts in medication, and they are there to help you. If you can’t physically get to the pharmacy then give them a ring. Failing that, maybe your doctors surgery could help: but pharmacy would definitely be my choice,
No, they’re not the same family. Bendro is a diuretic whereas Verapamil is prescribed for lowering blood pressure - a calcium channel blocker. Snap! re pill side effects - I, too, have ended up in A&E and been admitted.
No, they are not of the same drug family - Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker and bendrofluazide is a thiazide diuretic. As to whether you can take Verapamil whilst you still have some of the bendrofluazide in your system is a question for your GP to answer or even, to save time, a pharmacist.
Thank you for all your replies. I went to the pharmacist and asked. I was told that it would be ok to change over to verapamil only if I took one of the two tablets of (verapamil) then go to two the following day. I’ve done that and now getting the normal settling in headaches which should go within a few weeks.
