Hi all, I’ve been experiencing tachycardia, so I’m just wondering what medicine do you guys take to control your heart rate? I tried propranolol, but it made my fingers/toes tingle. I tried atenolol, but it caused headaches and ear pain. I was just prescribed 30mg diltiazem hcl, but it seems like I’

Constant PACs
I had an ablation 3 months ago. Had some PAC episodes that lasted a few days about a month after the procedure. My EP put me on Flecainide 125mg per day. I also was on Atenolol 175mg per day and was doing good for the last 2 months and I woke up one Monday with these horrible PACs. They’ve been going

Amlodipine Besylate and Migraine(ubrelvy) medication
Hello, I am new to this site. I am taking 5mg of amlodipine besylate and 20 mg of atenolol for my blood pressure. My neurologist has prescribed me 50 mg of ubrelvy as he states that I suffer from migraines. I went to him because of neck pain and dizziness. He initially prescribed me 100 mg of ubrelvy

Can a chest infection cause AF to start?
For the last week I’ve had a horrible chest infection with a very deep loud cough ( unfortunately for my other half). I’m asthmatic, which tends to make it worse. Since Thursday I’ve been in AF, which is extremely unusual for me, because when I get it , it only lasts about a couple of hours. It’s pretty

Atrial fibrillation
On Sunday I ended up in A&E with an erratic and fast running pulse ( about 80-90, my normal pulse is 45-55, I take Atenolol for heart attack 17 years ago ). The rhythm seemed to get back to normal within 12 hours but it is now Wednesday and my Pulse is about 60 - 75. Will it come down back to what it

Amlodipine 5mg
Well, took one tablet of the new blood pressure tablets and reacted badly after several hours - severe headache, dizzy/disorientated, bellyache, nausea and finally sick! I checked the ingredients and there is a starch additive which could cone from corn, wheat or potatoes - and I am allergic to potatoes

... and relax (hopefully)!
Long story ahead! It’s been a few weeks of ‘things’. In early November hubby complained his head was sore, which can mean all sorts since his stroke and not always being able to explain very well. Two days later he had a cluster of little blisters by his eye - shingles. A course of Aciclovar stopped

Depression/ Anxiety
Hi, Thank you all who have helped me and to others who refuse to give up; you give me hope. Buspar, atenolol (I take it for high blood pressure but helps me with anxiety) and this support group is helping me to feel less depressed and afraid. Depression feels comfortable for me and “living” is scary

A bit disheartened and confused
A little over 2 years ago at age 36 I experienced the first of what I came to find out was an Afib episode (of course, not until after being told I was just having panic attacks by some very unhelpful ER personnel). This was about a week after a doctor had prescribed me rizatriptan for headaches (

Uric Acid stones
Chuck just had two kidney stones removed (one 17 mm and one 6 mm) and a stent inserted. Just got back the results and they are uric acid stones. Just read what can cause them on the dietary spectrum but wanted to find out if anyone else has had these on Xtandi, Eligard or Zometa? He’s had one before

Stopping flecainide and Atenolol
Post ablation 8 weeks ago. I stopped taking my meds 2 weeks ago (as instructed by my Cardiologist). Since then I have been unwell. I have nausea, fatigue and pain in my kidney and back. I can’t eat much and feel very emotional. Hi have been to the hospital and had a CT scan and bloods. All has come back

Atenolol side affects.
I’m still struggling with Atenolol side affects. That copd feeling in my chest and the ache and heaviness it brings with it. . I lost a lot of weight throughout my whole ordeal and wondering with the less fat I’m feeling every twinge, every ache and every flutter. I was given a strong heart diagnosis
