Hi I’ve been suffering with a fib for many years had an ablation last February but still suffering with a fib now my doctor tells me there not sure which a fib I’m suffering from just feel like I’m going backwards. Now they want me back on atenolol and to keep repeating the heart monitor patches which I’ve done twice already just wondering if anyone has had the same issue .

I haven't 44deano, but I keep reading posts from people who are, or have been in your situation. It must feel quite depressing but it does seem that ablation sometimes needs a few attempts, and for some people just never achieves complete success. I guess there's not much you can do about the situation, so just go with whatever's suggested and ask lots of questions about what can be done with regard to another ablation or more help with trying to get back on track. Best of luck!

Hi ,i have had 3 ablations , my heart healed 3 times without scarring. i do however have a very low calcium hardness score and basically have no issues with heart disease. i take 100mg of Flecainide twice a day and have no symptoms at all.. if you've had an ablation the electro physiologist had found something to ablate. you don't say whether the Atenolol works for you or not, but i would try ablation again, and get a calcium hardness test.

Hello atenolol doesn’t agree with me but they want me to try again taking them but my resting heart rates only 52 bpm .
