What is the point of life if you are unable to experience joy?
I have experienced depression and anxiety for the majority of my life and recently added an ADHD diagnosis which may have been missed all these years. I have been on every kind of medication you can imagine, some with severe side effects, seen a counsellor on a regular basis, seen a psychiatrist on

AHI on CPAP - Relation to ectopics/Afib
Sleep Apnea folks on CPAP,...Have you observed a relationship between your overnight AHI and your burden of Ectopics and/or Afib the next day? I have mild/borderline Sleep Apnea, apparently only while on my back. I am limited to a pressure of 6.5 due to severe Aerophagia (Swallowing air/gas). I've

I'm curious. So who else suffers from panic disorder due to only intrusive thoughts?
I had my panic disorder for nearly 5 years and the main trigger of my panic attacks is basically only due to intrusive thoughts about having more panic attacks. Nothing else triggers this. If I feel uncomfortable and have intrusive thoughts about panic attacks 9 times out of 10 I'll have a panic attack

Dental surgery when on prednisone?
I have had PMR for a year and have slowly tapered from 10 mg to 4 mg prednisone. I’m still tapering very slowly. I can’t tell if my adrenal glands have kicked in again yet or not, but in general I am doing pretty well. I am now scheduled for a tooth extraction that I had been putting off because of Covid

Engaging in Panic
I think what triggered my recent panic attack was the lack of sleep, tiredness and caffeine. I’m debating if I should continue to do that so my mind can get used to it and be easier to control my anxiety.

New here - just got diagnosed with depression and anxiety
I have been having anxiety attacks where I feel chest pain and my body shakes and I have no control over my body. I am super sad all the time and don't feel like talking to anyone. Life feels useless. I keep thinking I am going to die. Then, I saw my doctor and she told me that I have depression. It's

Loss of a mother
Lost my mom and to be honest I’ve never felt worse pain. I don’t know how the world continues to go on when one is suffering. My mom was the only person who truly understood me, loved me unconditionally and it hurts so much that she’s gone. My life will never be the same... Mami, te quiero mucho y jamas

Anxiety suffering
Hello all. I think this forum probably helps many people. You all deserve love and respect. I have suffered from anxiety and depression for probably 30 years. I was on Effexor for about 10 years with my anxiety somewhat under control. I tried to wean myself off the Effexor a few months ago and now

Erythromelalgia..........anyone else?
Hi, fellow fibro warriors. On top of the fibro, malignant hypertension and possibly PoTS, I've recently been diagnosed with erythromelalgia. I'd never even heard of it! It's a horrible condition, I'm dreading the summer. A couple of hours in the March sun turned me into a beetroot. Hands and feet

Duloxetine and nortiptyline
Hi All, I am new here and really benefitted from reading through all the posts. I was diagnosed with fybro a few years ago and have been on 10mg nortriptyline since. Things have started getting a bit worse this year and I was prescribed 10mg Duloxotene too. I am really scared to take them together.
