Rheumatoid Arthritis and pain across shoulders
My husband has RA and gets a lot of pain across the top of his shoulders. He also has osteoarthritis aswell, and has had both knees replaced. He is on tocilizumab infusions every four weeks. When he spoke to one of the RA doctors about it (not his favourite one!) he was told it was due to 'scar tissue

PMR flare or not…
morning all I really don’t know what to do atm. I did a slow taper down to 2.5mg Pred and at the same time I thought I’d pulled my knee doing an exercise class as my knee swelled up & felt very sore (about 6 weeks ago this started) The GP thought it was arthritis but the physio she referred me

I’m a 73yr old woman who has had PMR for nearly three years. I started at 15mg of Pred reducing slowly so that I’m now on 1.5mg. My doctor tells me this is a marathon not a sprint! However I now have very stiff shoulders and neck not to mention heavy legs and stiff hand particularly when I awake. I went

New food intolerance
Ok, this is a bit odd, but since I got seronegative arthritis I have also developed more food sensitivity/intolerance, the most extreme being rocket leaves, which I've had twice since my diagnosis and on both occasions had severe stomach
pain
and vomiting.

Testing for other rheumatic conditions besides PMR?
My one diagnosis, September 2019, was PMR. At no time has any rheumatologist suggested I be examined to see if I have Rheumatic arthritis as well, and if so what that may mean for treatments, if any. Until this spring I've had few symptoms of what I think may be classified as arthritis - my fingers

Shoes wider ?
Like my hands, my toes are now badly deformed and I'm struggling to get even wide shoes on. Can anyone advise where to get nice looking shoes for arthritis feet ? I really don't want surgery if I can avoid it.

Are you a parent with Inflammatory Arthritis?
Having inflammatory arthritis can be hard, add to this the ‘joys’ of raising children and the challenges can begin to pile up. As a parent with IA, it can get frustrating, and you aren’t alone if you feel this way. We’d love to have you join our Parenting with IA meeting, a safe space for you to laugh

P I P decision
Hi, any advice please , to help my decision for PIP. Its just been turned down. I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia now for over 20 years, I applied as a friend said I should try. I feel because I still work as a cleaner 15 hours a week , that was the reason it was turned down. Each day can be different

Medication not working
I’ve had rheumatoid arthritis for nearly 20years. I’ve tried, methotrexate, Arava, adalimimab, entanercept, ruituxan, filgotinib, baracitinib and a few others that aren’t biologics. The problem is, they don’t work for me. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what are you taking now. I’m at my wits
