Did I just imagine it?
Because I do not have an Autoimmune problem, (I do have Temporal
Arteritis
') I cannot have it as I am not 70? She then did say I wish I could as you are a real candidate for extra protection? If you bought in the form that said you should have it, we would do it.

Is this possibly GCA again?
I was diagnosed with PMR 4four years ago and this was followed by Giant Cell
Arteritis
. I was given 60 mgs Prenisolone and gradually tapered down. Unfortunately I had a flare a few months later and I was not given appropriate advice and the sight in my left eye was damaged.

I'm currently on Tocilizumab for GCA under the direction of a specialist physician. I was on 20mg Pred when I started the Tocilizumab which I have injected every 2 weeks. I'm on my third week right now. I was instructed to reduce Pred 5mg every 2 weeks and reduce again 5mg 3 weeks , which is

Need Shoulder Replacement Surgery
My shoulder is destroyed from osteo arthritis and is painful 24/7. My surgeon won’t operate until I am “low enough” on prednisone. How low is low enough? I have been on prednisone for 17 months for PMR now down to 12.5 mg and tapering. I flared at 10.5 last taper. Advice?

Fibro and stabbing foot pain?
I've been recently diagnosed with fibro and also have inflammatory arthritis. Once in a while and out of the blue, I get these terrible stabbing pains on the outer side of my foot - it's excruciating, like being electrocuted or someone actually stabbing my foot with a knife. Sometimes it comes in two

arthritis appearing at low dose pred
For about a month or more I have been sore and stiff in a number of places, and I haven't been sure if it was because of gardening too hard, PMR flare or, could it be arthritis appearing? There are specific spots that are sore when pressed, e.g., a specific spot at the front of the shoulder, wrists,

What happens if you fail Xeljanz
I tried Xeljanz 4 years ago and did not have good results. My rheumatologist took me off leflunomide and Humira then started me on Xeljanz. I wonder if I would of taken Xeljanz with leflunomide if it would of been more effective? What I really wonder is if Xeljanz did not work is it possible for another

Lower Abdominal pain and Tocilizumab
Tocilizumab side effects: The main thing I have noticed is a proneness to infection, like UTIs, sinus, nasal and Blepharitis. This will be because my immunity is so firmly suppressed what with Prednisalone and Tocilizumab. I was able to quickly get down from 40 mgs of Pred to 10 mgs without the usual

Covid Booster?
I’m currently on prednisone 10mg daily while I wait to see the rheumatologist for a probable diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis. I’m eligible for the 4th Covid booster at this time. I’ve never been on prednisone so uncertain if it’s all ok with vaccines. I will ask my doctor but was curious what the opinions

Has anyone heard of or tried Eurotherapy?
I’m at the ideal home exhibition and have just had a demo of something called Eurotherapy which is supposedly a very good natural relief for all aches and pains, particularly linked to arthritis and RA. It involves small vibrations and when trying it it did seem to lessen stiffness. I wondered if anyone

Painful Feet
When I was diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis 10 years ago, it affected my feet as well as other places; they also said I had mild osteoarthritis in my feet too. I gave up my heels and replaced them with low footwear. My feet have gradually worsened, which I have discussed many times with my rheumy
