I can't tell u a whole lot about it as I had an echo done like I do every couple of years as I have a congenital bicuspid aortic valve. I had echo a couple of weeks ago & just was called the other day to set up a cat scan of my chest with contrast because I have an ascending aortic aneurysm- size 4.4. I've been reading all over the web. It's very scary. Will have to find out what they want to do with me after results of cat scan come in. Not sure what your circumstances are except I take it that it's you that has a AAA? I do know that keeping blood pressure a little lower than normal with beta blocker and/or diruretic can possibly slow growth and quit smoking, limit alcohol and I can't remember the other thing. Diet & pill if you have high cholesterol. Feel free to tell me your story. I would be very interested.
