Hi, I’m in my mid-30s and have been on lithium and atypical-
antipsychotics
for the past 10 years. Two years ago a mental health clinic added zoplicone to the mix - so I’ve been taking 3.75mg (on a good night) to 15mg (when things are scary) every night.

I switched
antipsychotics
due to potential weight gain but will probably go back to the original because it definitely helped more. My depression has been really bad lately, I hate working and don't feel like existing (not suicidal). Hopefully I can get out of this funk but who knows.

A friendly cheer up to everyone on the PP recovery journey!
All those multiple side effects, all those weird sensations i had in my body due to meds - and i had so many of them on my journey (different 2nd and 3rd generation
antipsychotics
, different antidepressants, heavy tranquillisers) - it’s all reversible, all the side effects will be gone when you are off

Progress
Can RLS progress in 4 months after taking
antipsychotics
? The situation has significantly worsened in 4 months. It all started with a current in the leg. Tonight, my feet, hands, and face were on fire. Such rapid progress???

Good evening
I was treated with
antipsychotics
and antidepressants for six months. And then, three months ago, I felt my feet. It was like an electric shock to my legs. And now-the current, the needles, the heat waves, the dull pain in my legs. The current makes my legs shake.

Why are benzos so vilified and how do I bring this up with a new doctor without sounding like a drug seeker?
In terms of addiction, withdrawal and dependence, perhaps I am in the minority, but the absolute worst withdrawal I have experienced is from
antipsychotics
.

I am in my 50's and I have had severe depression and anxiety since a very early age. I have seen many psychiatrists, psychologist, read
Through the years, I have been on every type of tricyclic,, SNRI, SSRI antidepressant and combination of a few
antipsychotics
. It surprised me that my colleagues haven't used genetic testing prior to trying any typical antidepressant.

From NJ looking for a doctor who actually knows ADHD besides what the medication is. Most doctors suck.
They're willing to bombard you with
antipsychotics
, sleep medicine, mood stabilizers and more, yet ignore the ADHD. One doctor told me "you can find a doctor who will just write you a script, no problem, but you're not gonna get it from me."

The draft guideline also said that antiepileptic drugs including gabapentinoids, local anaesthetics, ketamine, corticosteroids and
antipsychotics
should not be offered to people to manage chronic primary pain because, again, there was little or no evidence that these treatments work but could have possible

When will it get better?
I have now come of the
antipsychotics
which is brilliant, yet I am “gifted” with the most ghastly discontinuation symptoms of headaches and insomnia, which arrive with its worries (relapse!) though getting much better then last week. Those of you who have gone through the whole phase of recovery.

What other options there are for patients with bipolar, bpd, or aggressive behavior;else than "shutting down/mentally foging/" meds?
