Confused person!
Due to terrible brain fog, confusion and memory problems - I am trying to take stock of where I am. If this is repetitive, I am sorry. Brief history: ME/CFS diagnosed 15 years ago (although having obtained my blood test results recently my B12 was 165 ng/L in 2005), 2 years ago diagnosis of colorectal

Really constipated
I have lately been going 4-5 days without a BM. Today is day 5. My wife wanted to go to the beach, so I took her. Around 1pm I told her I needed to get back to our unit to take care of business. She knows it's day 5. I tried to dissuade her, but she insisted on coming back. I took a TBSP of castor oil

GCA worries
Hi. I’ve been hiding in the wings here for a while, gleaning information. My GP has now been treating me for PMR and, according to her Temporal arteritis/GCA symptoms for about 3 weeks now but I’ve had symptoms on and off for some time. I’m almost 50 and have always been healthy apart from having Sjogren

Intrinsic factor test reliability
Would one of you very knowledgeable people please remind me why the anti parietal cell/intrinsic factor test isn’t to be relied upon please. I’m trying to prepare for tomorrow’s fight with GP. Thank you.

So I recently posted about getting the intrinsic factor test and how long to stop injections before taking it. So had the test, and of course it has come back negative. Doctor originally was going to stop the injections, but after I protested and showed him current documentation he relented and is allowing

Help with a mystery needed
In August I went went to a neurologist who tested my b12 levels because of neurological symptoms. I requested the test because in 2012 when I was trying to get pregnant a naturopathic dr found that my b12 levels were 350... at the time I had no symptoms. I remember her talking about intrinsic factor

Newly diagnosed
Hello All, I have been diagnosed with PA the one where my body attacks the intrinsic factor. This is all new to me. I am 35 and finally all of my symptoms seem to make sense. My b12 is a 309 which seems to be at the lower end yet according to my blood results isn’t low exactly. My doctor just said all

Intrinsic Factor
Hi, I have vitamin B12 injections every 8 weeks but started having to reduce the length of time in between as found the 2 weeks were neurologically symptomatic. I am now finding I’m hitting the 6 week mark and I am so fatigued and symptomatic it is getting me down. I had a blood test before my last injection

In what conditions (other than Hasimotos) are TG Antibodies raised (but TPO AB's are not)? Also results interpretation please.
In what conditions (other than Hasimoto's) are TG Antibodies raised please? I'm struggling to obtain a clear answer on this. Below are my MediChecks full thyroid panel results; the MediChecks GP stated that my results indicate Hasimoto's, although my TSH indicates my thyroid function is "fine" currently

Newly diagnosed with RA
Hi all, I'm Dominic, I was recently diagnosed with seropositive RA, I am/was a keen Marathon/ultra marathon runner and competed in an off road ultra marathon as recently as July, I then developed a pain in one toe which I presumed was a stress fracture from said run, over the next few weeks, this spread

Could it still be B12/PA??
Following a spell in hospital pneumonia - something was found in my stomach. Intrinsic factor positive but B12 450 Folate 6.2. On coming home IF was retested and came back negative. Tomorrow I have an endoscopy as the suggestion is auto immune gastric atrophy. In short might it still mean I can have
