Apixaban
Hi there, I take Bisoprolol, Flecainide and until recently Edoxaban anticoagulant . However, spending much time in France I’ve found that Edoxaban is not accepted as a safe drug and I cannot get it in France . I changed to Apixaban which is available , and was previously recommended by my electro-cardiologist

A-Fib meds & Zepbound
I cannot seem to sustain a healthy weight for my age & body frame so I will be requesting Zepbound from my doctor to help, as I don’t want to go the surgical route in my 70s. I’m considered **morbidly obese** & truly, there is a lot of shame in this. Flecainide & Metoprolol control my A-Fib, & I

He's physically well, has just finished cardio rehab & has been told to exercise normally. However the physios have told him to focus on leg/lower body exercises & also

Sore stomach on apixaban
I’ve been on apixaban for just over 2 months and have 3 weeks to go, then 4 weeks off before a d dimer blood test. I’ve had awful stomach cramps for a couple of weeks, blood in stools and leaking watery blood like I’m wetting myself (lovely picture!). The doctor is sending me for the fast track bladder

Flaxseed
Hi there, Been listening to Michael Mosley podcast and benefits of flaxseed. I am taking 90mg ticegrelor, 1.25mg bisoprolol and Aspirin 75mg. Had NStemi 6 months ago and stent fitted. My BP is quite low but considered good. Apparently on a big trial flaxseed didnt reduce BP in those that had low BP

A natural cure for AF!
Ok , I started with occasional AF 15 years ago. I worked out what was causing it , usual stuff alcohol , stress, caffeine possibly salt. Mine lasted about 12/15 hours and returned to normal , started out fast heart beat , slowed after about 3/6 hours and then just out of rhythm for the rest until back

Just been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. Worried!
Hi. I’ve just been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and am so worried. The cardiologist has recommended blood thinners and a pill in the pocket for when episodes occur but now I’m fretting about having a stroke or having a brain bleed from the pills! I am going to make some major lifestyle changes

Still on the PMR journey which started 2015, 2017 steroid treatment started. Bit bumpy and set back in Nov. 2023 after covid booster. Was down to 5mg but huge flare and had to start again. Currently at 9.5mg and hoping to reduce slowly. Diagnosed with a fib in August 2023 and taking Apixabin as anticoagulant

Atrial Fibrillation
I'm in the process of finding out which blood thinner is best for me. Started with bisoprolol 1.25mg twice daily and feeling ill so have changed to Edoxaban causing cold hands and feet and breathlessness. I feel that my Cardiologist hasn't taken into consideration my other health conditions, i.e. Asthma

Atrial fibrillation -left in limbo
My GP put me on
anticoagulants
a few days later. I’ve not seen a cardiologist or had an echocardiogram yet, and the appointment to see one is in November. Sustaining physical and mental is near impossible at the moment.

Sore tongue
Does anyone else have a very sore tongue. I am wondering if it's connected to me taking Apixaban a blood thinner. Or connected to Sojrens.

Having a STEMI in mid 40's...the search for underlying causes / answers for premature CHD.
Hi Everyone, My husband had a major STEMI in March 2023 with a full blockage of his circumflex artery. He was 44 years old and playing 5-a-side football in a local sports centre when he collapsed without warning. Thank goodness it happened there of all places however, as the swift actions of his team

Cataract Op and blood thinners
I have severe arrhythmia and have been taking warfarin for 5 years also clopidogrel since December, when I had a stent fitted. I am due to have a cataract removed in May and wonder if it will be necessary to adjust my medication ?

GCA and Ocular TIA (mini stroke)??
I was diagnosed with GCA four and a half years ago , am on my third relapse and am tapering (now 10mg prednisolone and weekly Actemra). At the onset I had severe headaches and a dark 'veil' over half of my left eye which went after about 5 minutes and the opthalmologist put me on 60 mg prednisolone

clopidogrel or Asprin… get bruising when taken both
Good morning, I’m taking Atorvastatin 80mg, Amlodipian & Ezetembi for cholesterol / BP. I was also taking Clopidogrel 75mg but getting bruising regularly so suggested I take Asprin 75mg but the bruising is as bad. It was suggested that if this was the case I could just stop taking blood thinners as
