Due fem pop surgery.
Placed on Statin and
anticoagulants
. Referred to vascular consultant who was excellent and diagnosed intermittent claudication. After ultrasounds and CT scan I was found to have blockage. After further consultation they are considering a femoral popliteal bypass.

Heart failure not stroke is the most common complication of atrial fibrillation -- BMJ Journal
However, the notion that someone with afib is protected by simply by talking
anticoagulants
is wrong, because of the even greater risk heart failure.

Open Heart Surgery Ahead…
The mechanical valve is supposed to last a lifetime but will require I am on one of the old
anticoagulants
for life. The biological valve will likely last 10-20 years then need replaced.

Anyone tried PIP Apixiban, post-ablation?
Though it feels wonderful to be on no meds at all, am a bit nervous being off
anticoagulants
completely, despite low CHAD-Vasc score. Anyone using PIP
anticoagulants
ie if AF reoccurs or BP increases?

He checked I wasn’t on
anticoagulants
though ( which I’m not) as he said warfarin for example would be a different case ,but didn’t elaborate. As I’m on flecainide and bisoprol he said fine and to all the other things I asked him for joint pain: glucosamine, turmeric etc etc!) .

Reducing Bisoprolol
I am still on
anticoagulants
and will remain on these until my follow up in January. Also, if you have reduced Bisoprolol, did you have any side effects? thank you

Recent nose bleeds.
I have been on
anticoagulants
for nearly four years now and apart from the noticeable difference re bruising, everything has been ok. Over the last three days though,I have been having nose bleeds.

Decisions to make about AF
Any advice on the ablation itself or on routine taking of
anticoagulants
would be wonderful please- especially the idea that all women should be taking them , as all my friends are well over 65 and none of them are on them. Is this something new ?

QoL: A monoprinting session
This last week I have been very weak and open to confusion -- perhaps due to the multiplicity of drugs (painkillers,
anticoagulants
, laxatives) that I am taking, each to cover a symptom, none to effect life extension, just to effect a better quality of life that it is up to me to enjoy as best I can.

Anticoagulants
: I see a lot of ladies in here get prescribed
anticoagulants
like clexane, aspirin etc? - this was not suggested to me on my 2 FET. - 5. Supplements - what would you recommend for fresh cycle to try to improve egg quality and how long to prepare the body for?

anticoagulant with cavernoma
One of the doctors says it is out of the question to take
anticoagulants
with a cavernoma while a second opinion from a neuro surgeon says it is ok to have a low dosage tablet. Thanks Trish5

Aortic valve replacement
It was largely successful but I still have to take oral
anticoagulants
in case of stroke. Im just wondering what effects the op will have on my AF and what pain relief I will be given bearing in mind anything stronger than paracetamol can trigger AF Thanks

beta blockers and anticoagulants
There’s also an article on over prescribing of
anticoagulants
- if your blood pressure is just high enough to push up your CHADs score you are advised to take them but may really not need them. Seems more and more research interest is being taken on the routine approaches to AF.

preventing clots what are the chances?
Someone recently posted that cardios found a clot before a procedure, even though they were on
anticoagulants
... someone else posted that
anticoagulants
are only 75% safe in preventing clots due to AF ...

You may have noticed from my previous posts that I have not been on
anticoagulants
for some time now because my chads were zero but I was still having some AFIB episodes.!!
