QoL: A monoprinting session

I am still finding ways to fill my free time. This is me attending a monoprinting class today. In this, one paints or squirts or uses lino rollers to create a picture on a piece of Perspex. This is then used to make a print onto a sheet of high quality watercolour paper on a printing press as seen in the background. I made several 'ghost' (fading) prints from each inking.

I was told that I could work further on each of them using, say, gouache or watercolour. I am not sure that I would dare, however. Each print, being stand alone, might feel far too precious for me to try.

I will perhaps post a few once they have finished drying in a few days. I am not sure whether to try monoprinting again, or when, even though I enjoyed it very much. I have a lot of techniques going on in my mixed media already.

And time now feels precious. This last week I have been very weak and open to confusion -- perhaps due to the multiplicity of drugs (painkillers, anticoagulants, laxatives) that I am taking, each to cover a symptom, none to effect life extension, just to effect a better quality of life that it is up to me to enjoy as best I can.

Love your mindset and your paintings. From an outsider you are living life amidst a sea of uncertainty. Very inspirational. Thank you.

Fair play to you Brent. I was always rubbish at art so it has been good to see your excellent water colours and now mono printing. Best wishes mate, you appear to be doing great in very difficult circumstances.
