Poor response, despite plenty of follicles.
I’ve just had my second short cycle. Only 3 eggs retrieved, two mature and only one fertilised. So going for a day 3 transfer. The last cycle I got 3 mature eggs that all fertilised, got to blastocysts, one good grade transferred but ended in a miscarriage and had none to freeze, as other two were poor

Normal IVF vs Natural/Mild IVF for endo and low AMH
Hi all, I’m interested to hear about the pros and cons of normal ivf and natural/mild ivf. I have stage 4 endo, one tube and very low AMH (under 2.1) and have read a lot about how natural or mild is more suitable for those conditions. However I’ve seen a lot of success stories for women in same boat

450 menopur with low Amh - advice please
Hi everyone, so I had my basal scan yesterday and will be starting treatment soon. I've been put on the short cycle with 450 menopur daily. I have a low Amh of 0.9 and am 38. Have been reading so many posts on this forum where quite a few are saying that this high dose didn't work as well in people with

Dose of FSH - affect egg quality?
Hi .. i am 43 with a low AMH. I am about do do a round of IVF and the doctor has recommended a dose of 450 bemfola, which I am not too keen on, as I think it's too high (worried about the impact on egg quality, when it's obviously already going to be not great). When I asked about trying with a lower

Donor egg treatment in Manchester area
Hi lovely ladies, I know we can’t recommend clinics on here but please could anyone who’s got any experience of using donor eggs in the Manchester / Warrington area private message me about their experiences? After 2 failed cycles with the nhs, including one miscarriage and several failed transfers

Ivf vs. ICSI
After two failed attempts with ISCI (I have a low AMH and am 43), I have sought the opinion of another FS. He said his protocol would be IVF over ISCI (DH sperm is normal), as ISCI involves piercing the shell of the egg. Has anyone has a better result with the IVF option over ISCI? Thanks!

Can you really improve egg quality?
Evening all. I just had a failed round of IVF and egg quality was cited as the main issue. I did do some preparation for the cycle in terms of supplements, diet, exercise etc... I didn’t take it too seriously though. I was lured into a false sense of security as my AMH is at the higher end of my age

Hello, I’m 35 and my AMH is 13.9 does this limit my chance of a natural pregnancy?

private consultations - how many?
Hi everyone, my question is for how many clinics would you do consultations with before deciding? We are going private as we don't want to wait a year for NHS. We are currently waiting on the consent paperwork from one private clinic, they don't offer PGT-A, are slightly more expensive but are really

42 and on 3rd IVF cycle
Hello! I am 42 and have low AMH. I am on my third back to back cycle. First was this summer and ended up in a miscarriage at 7 weeks, the second was a chemical pregnancy and very much hoping for success this time around. However, my ovaries don’t seem to be responding as well as they did the last couple

Receiving monthly Avastin injections now 5 days past due and I notice a decrease in vision
Being treated for CNV. Somehow, I was given a 5 week follow up form my next injection so instead of receiving my scheduled 4 week injection last week, I will get it this week. My vision was getting better and I was able to read things I couldn't read before. Yesterday my vision wasn't nearly as good

Egg collection with low follicle count, outcome better than expected!
Just thought I’d update my story incase anyone else is in similar situation and just wants some hope! Only had 3 large follicles at last scan (3 days ago - 3 more than 10mm, one at 10mm, another 3 less than 10mm). With a low AMH, we proceeded to EC! Pre procedure when the doctor spoke to me she said

A bit of hope for those with low AMH and high FSH ...
Hi Ladies I just wanted to share some positive news which might give others in a similar position some hope ... With low AMH and high FSH we were never expected to achieve high numbers of eggs at collection when starting out with IVF, but we were left feeling really disheartened when only ONE follicle

BFN- OTD tomorrow
I have been up since 4am and taken 2 tests and it’s a BFN. I am 10dp5dt today and I have to go for my bloodtest tomorrow. I am so gutted. I am doing IVF because we are a same sex couple. I have high AMH and am pretty healthy in general. I know it sounds a bit silly but I had honestly never considered

Hi Ladies, So the title says it all. It was supposed to be my test date today but AF decided to make her ugly appearance on Friday! I just wondered if anyone can advise on this. This was my second round on a slightly higher dose of meriofert and I reacted well to the medication this time round. At

6th final attempt
So here we are again..... We have decided after 5 failed attempts this is our 6th and final attempt of ICSI I’m 39 and was told average for my age is around 6 times for IVF/ICSI to work.. I think my consultant has changed my meds slightly this time and back on the pessaries (Cyclogest) instead of

The Hallmarks of Cancer: Preserving Health and Longevity while fighting Prostate Cancer
[i]Note: I have been thinking about these ideas over some weeks and how they might apply to complement my therapeutic approach to my prostate cancer (HSPC T3cN1M0). Nothing here should be taken as suggesting an epigenetic and phytochemical approach as an alternative for optimally selected and medically

Switching clinics - CRGH, Zita West, Lister, Evewell, IVI
We’ve had 2 failed IVF cycles recently (Aug & Oct) and are looking to switch clinics. We need a clinic that has expertise in treating women over 40 with low AMH. I’ve just done two cycles on short protocol and high stims. The number of eggs collected were reasonable (7 then 5) but quality significantly

Clinics that specialise in low amh?
Hello everyone 😊 I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any clinics that specialise in low amh. I live in north East Yorkshire, so preferably in the north. My first ivf was a failed cycle due to High fsh at egg collection. I got 5 eggs but sadly none lasted to day 5 for them to be frozen. My

Egg and sperm - 75% fertilised?
Hi .. I froze my eggs years ago, waiting for my prince charming to come along. He finally did, and at 43 we are embarking on our ivf journey (unfortunately, i am not able to get pregnant naturally and we had no success trying. I had a low AMH years ago, i have a blocked tube, and endo). We had 15 eggs
