Finding Support Groups
I am 84 and diagnosed with PCa in 2014. I had a multi-specialty work up Sibley Hospital in Washington DC (Johns Hopkins staffed clinic). No mets found. I was given 1 option, External beam; 70 Gray treatment went smoothly with no SE. I was given one injection of Lupron prior to the radiation. PSA

Trying To Hold Onto Hope
Hi all, I last wrote on here back in the fall because my dad was deteriorating quickly after ending 2nd round of chemo and his PSA went to the 300s (see my bio for his medical history). He was a candidate for Pluvicto, and was also put on Zytgea and a steroid before starting treatment which helped

Heidelberg update
My husband finished his 19 proton radiation treatments in Heidelberg begin of March. The PSA went down from, 0,7 to 0,1. He still is in the program until next year and has to fill out a questionnaire every 3 month, has PSA tests and blood work done. It looks like the government pays for this, because

Sweet!
Had 2nd of 90 days Lupron Feb 1-23 as adjuvant 6-month ADT therapy with my Salvage IMRT. First PSA test yesterday and T level. Undetectable (less than .006 uPSA) and T level of 30. Here's to hoping it stays down. I know BCR may happen over the long run with SVI, PNI, bladder neck, and surgical margins

Another Pluvicto failure
I know many people have a positive experience with Pluvicto. My dad was fortunate enough to get a go, but after two infusions his PSA did a gigantic jump from 42 to 119, over only two weeks. His doctors are puzzled, and so are we. His condition has deteriorated rapidly over the last few weeks, and now

How do you find a good oncologist and how do you overcome the side effects of Lupron?
My dad is in his 70's and is taking Lupron shots every six months but it is negatively impacting his mental health to the point where he is going to stop taking it. He had his prostate removed and radiation about ten years ago when he was first diagnosed. I'm really worried about him because at this

ideal biochemistry monitoring
question: I know that there are protols for regular blood PSA and sometimes Testosterone when on SOC following RT and during the 2-3 years ADT (with localised high risk G9-10). My excellent ONC does a full biochemistry every 3 months with a face to face meeting which is great, but I will have to

gleason score
first clue was psa 250 then 300 on re-check. Psma showed local mets to nodes and suspicious to nodes in back. Started lupron 2 weeks ago. Just had biopsy which showed gleason score of 4+3= 7. Im happily shocked, was prepared for a 10. i’m not sure what to even think about this. Any of you big brains

Finally , tests done and a consult.
Gleason 3+4. PSA 8. After MRI, biopsy and PSMA (clean), . I finally met with doctor. He seemed more interested in removal. I told him that was off of the table for me. He referred me to an RO, but I have a second consult set up Friday with Univ of Cincinnati. I was confused by his explanation when

Chemo with Docetaxel - side effects
I started triple therapy over a month ago with Eligard and Nubeqa, Zometa for bones, and Docetaxel chemo (with daily prednisone). Gleason 10, RP with 12 lymph nodes all negative, but then quickly went metastatic to multiple bones - too many for radiation to be effective. PSA peaked 3 months after

Starting pluvicto in another month
This is somewhat scary but read the side effects and what had the members of those who are receiving the treatment. What is the most common side effects have you all had and how well tolerated. I am glad I can do the treatments close to home and will not to go to MSK. Any information would be helpful
