Angioplasty

Have anyone here had EECP treatment as an alternative to angioplasty or CABG . I had stent put in a month ago. and was speaking to colleague who informed me about EECP .

I had angioplasty 3 weeks ago . Is it normal to have bp fluctuating like 160/98 and 125/82 on same day ( both are resting bp). After angioplasty I am on 2.5 mg bisoprolol

My husband has an angioplasty scheduled for next Friday. He asked the question as to whether he needs to cease his Apixaban prior to having it done. He was told no just to carry on taking all his medication. As he didn’t think this right he contacted his cardiologist’s secretary & she agreed.

I had angioplasty 3 weeks ago and I am on following meds Atorvastatin,Aspirin,Ticagrelor,losartan,Lansoprazole,Bisoprolol  The gp replaced ramapril with losartan when I complained about dry cough , which is still there but I will try for few weeks before discussing again with gp .

He spoke about possibly doing angioplasty but not putting the stent in. I have been off work since August and he will no give me the ok to return yet. Does anyone have any explanation or experience as to what he said and why he wouldn't fit a stent. Many thanks

I am a UK expat living in China, earlier this year I suffered a heart attack and subsequently had 2 stents fitted and 1 month later had an Angioplasty balloon put in, I am now on several different medications and am living a semi normal life, with my wife & dog here in China.

I am beginning to think I must have had the stent at the angioplasty as not any anti angina meds now. If it is the placebo effect it certainly seems to be working in my case. Its been a stressful couple of weeks as well as my 104 mother had a fall and broke her femur.

After numerous delays they attempted an angioplasty in late July. This didn't work and I had a BKA (below knee amputation) at the end of the month. At that time the DNR should no longer have been in place. I have confirmation it is not in place at that hospital.

2 weeks post angiogram/ angioplasty for the orbita trial. Obviously i don't know at the moment whether I had a stent, but things looking good angina wise at the moment. Managed a couple of brisk walks this week without any angina pain, so hoping I was one of the percentage who got a stent.

After few days had angioplasty with 4 stents for 3 blockage.

Was in Cath. lab within 1 hour where they did an angioplasty and found Right Coronary Artery completely occluded. After 2 attempts they mostly cleared the clots, and put me on Rivaroxaban, clopidogrel, aspirin, bisoprolol.

I had a balloon angioplasty on my LAD in May after discovering I had a total blockage. Prior to this I had angina pain whenever I exerted myself. Since then I have not had any angina at all but over the last week I have had a squeezing deep throbbing pain in my upper arm and into my neck.

Does anyone In here ever had this ectopic heartbeat regularly after angioplasty procedure?

Very quick one hour journey with blues and twos angioplasty and stent. Back home the following day. They did an echocardiogram a couple of weeks later and told me all was well. Then referred back to the local hospital, Royal Shrewsbury, for rehab.

I've now had a letter from local hospital saying I do need long term routine follow ups as I had a successful angioplasty and stent. Is this correct?

To cut a long story short another angioplasty, in my right artery. The other two are fine, the thing that bothers me is this wasn't there when they did the angioplasty a year and a half ago so they were asking me questions about my cholesterol level.

A&E, clot-busting drugs, angioplasty and a stent to the RCA later, I'm back home licking my wounds. I was OKish for over 12 months, but then the jaw pain started to return, along with some pressure in the upper chest.

After my angioplasty I was put on Clopidogrel and I have read that you cannot take NSAIDs with them as it increases bleeding risks. I suffer with condrochronitis(inflammation of the chest wall) and I am having a flare up.

Hi, I had a HA a year ago and underwent angioplasty where they put 4 stents in. After the op as they were relaxing the clamp on my wrist, I had a large loss of blood under the skin, they put pressure on the bulging area and all was fine.
