Travel Insurance

Hi, I'm new to the group, having had a heart attack in June. Had angioplasty with three stents and am now feeling fine. Luckily no angina pains as yet and no side effect from my meds. My question is not medical but is related to my HA. My wife and i are going on holiday to USA in September and had purchased travel ins last January. However, when I told them about the heart attack they decided they could not cover me. Apparently they don't offer medical underwriting. Can anyone recommend a good travel insurer that I can get cover from at not too exhorbitant a price. Many thanks Mike

USA cover as you probably know is higher than the rest of the world.

I joined a Women's Institute group and then joined their group travel insurance policy with Open Travel. No medical questions asked. Worldwide annual policy £195. Your wife could join WI and insure you both with Open Travel... Look at their group policy online. Clare
