Orchiectomy or ADT
I'm 80 years old with ED since my prostatectomy. Both surgery an radiation have failed to cure my PC so, I find myself at a fork in the road. Do I have an Orchiectomy or use ADT medications. from what I have read, Orchiectomy has shown to have better result than ADT in terms of long term survival plus

PSA .03 after Radiation and ADT
Visited my RO this week and my PSA was .03 after radiation to 3 lymph nodes and a spot on the iliac bone. He wants to stop Eligard for 6 months to determine, not sure what. Guessing to see if the cancer is gone but my understanding that once it has metastasized you’ll never really be cured, you just

Salmon Protein Hydrolysate
New study below [1]. Anyone here using
Salmon Protein Hydrolysate
? FWIW: "A growing body of evidence implicates iron dysmetabolism in prostate cancer progression. A bioactive peptide-rich salmon protein hydrolysate (SPH) has previously been demonstrated to modulate iron homeostatic mechanisms.

ADT and heart mitral valve regurgitation.
I was diagnosed with (There is mild (1+)mitral valve regurgitation.) yesterday. Can this be caused by my ADT treatments? Is it reversible? I never had this before I started ADT. Thanks

Treatment post ADT failure?
Reaching out to fellow warriors, yet again, for advice. It has been very helpful in the past. After a little over 2-years ADT has failed for me since Jan 2022. Cancer is spreading fast - PSMA PET scan found 8 new spots in my bones. The pain gets a bit worse every day in my ribs and pelvis. My oncologist

Hypodensities < 1 cm, dome of liver
Hello, first time poster on this forum. I had a CT Cardiac Calcium Score test done and it came out fine, but it picked up several hypodensities <1 cm in the dome, probably cysts. I have had some discomfort along my rib cage in that area, only when I lay down on my stomach, that I attributed to soreness

MRI 3T results
This looks pretty damn good. Not sure if I am reading this right but it appears they can not find my cancer any more and my Prostate has shrunk from 150cc to 74cc. "PI-RADS 2 - Low probability of cancer (Clinically significant cancer is unlikely to be present)" My MRI in July 21 was rated PI-RADS -5.

Need for Cystoscopy?
Quick recap of my situation: RP in Sep 2019 for G9 w/SVI, LN+, and high risk Decipher. RT 8 months later along with 24 mth ADT (just finished). About 2 months ago, I noticed a drop of blood coming from my uretha at the tip of my penis. My urologist ordered a CAT scan (which was clean) and cystoscopy

Can a case be made for ADT vacation during a 4week radiation therapy?
I would like your opinions. It seem to me it might make the prostate cells more radiosenitive because they are dividing faster. I think I’d feel better during the Rad rx and would restart after Rad rx finished . On orgovx and zytiga. Bad idea? Don’t know? Go ahead? What do you think?
