XGEVA
I was receiving Xgeva every 4 weeks for 2 years, and suddenly my Oncologist cut it back to every 3 months......can anyone explain why? Does it even do any good to have that much time between injections? I thought it had a 28 day half-life Help!! Also my care team no longer accepts my insurance and I'll

Xtandi Superior to Zytiga? Maybe Yes? Xtandi prevents resistance to Testosterone because it upregulates the AR while inhibiting its activity

Docetaxel, Chemotherapy
Hi, Have you tried Docetaxel before the Zytiga? My dad did the Docetaxel (6 rounds) before the Zytiga and it killed a TON of the cancer. He was only on ADT for 2.5 years after the chemotherapy. Wishing you the very best, Karyn

12 months hormone therapy done.
I have just completed 12 month ADT and have my annual meeting with Consultant on Monday. Had RP 2 years ago with recurrence 12 months ago in one lymph node. Origonal plan was radio therapy and 12 to 18 months of ADT. Following previous advice on here it seems 2 years ADT offers best outcome. I have

What can I expect from chemo?
I will be starting Docetaxel (Taxotere) near the end of the month. PC has become castrate resistant and oncologist says I should not wait for a trial of LU 177 that does not require prior chemo since it is unsure when it will start and has had a few delays already. So I am wondering what to expect

Did not get baseline testosterone level at start of my Eligard shots.
Just diagnosed in May, 2022 with potentially very aggressive PCa. Dechipher very high, 0.88. Uptake on PSMA PET heterogeneous.MO waiting until Nov. for CT and bone scan to confirm mets to pubic bone. Started ADT (3 mo. Eligard shot) on August 11, also I was sent to lab for PSA test and baseline testosterone

Localized High Risk Pca (G9 4+5) questions
Greetings, Current Status: 66 yo, Gleason 9 (4+5) Latest update: I got the results from my PSMA Pet Scan yesterday, and it was ALL CLEAR! No evidence of metastatic disease. Very relieved to see this finding but also realize we are nowhere near done, but now we have the data to take action. I'm trying

update on husbands radiation to pelvic mets
A month ago I messaged asking about others experience with getting reoccurring lymph node mets after radiation and 2 years adt. He is not adt resistant yet. We did a PSMA scan when his PSA got to .29 (he did not have the surgery, just radiation and adt and went off the adt almost a year ago), his

Another week of complete agony
Over the past couple months I have had 3 episodes of extreme pain that last 2-3 days and they magically go away as fast as the came. The pain is most always in areas where I have bone mets, so I don't know if it is directly because of the mets, or maybe caused by Lupron and/or Zytiga. This past Tuesday

Debulking Radiation Options
Short version (bio has more detail): omHSPC, started ADT (Lupron + Darolutamide - ARASEC Trial) in September 2022. MO has me scheduled for a consultation with RO for a planned debulking IMRT/IGRT to the prostrate and pelvis in Nov/Dec. My question for this group - is IMRT/IGRT the best option here

Need help finding studies
I’m trying to arm myself as we go to see my husband’s MO on 10/12, so hoping for a little help. I’ve tried to search this site, but I don’t really know what I’m looking for. I think I filled out the profile with my husband’s info, and I’m sorry if it is too much information. We have been tossed around

Blood in the urine
Two months ago I noticed blood in my Urine. It only happened once but then in September, it happened again so my Urologist performed a cystoscopy in his office and saw some irritation in the bladder that may have been a result of the IMRT I had last year. . He ordered a CT scan of my groin area that

Recurrence after radiation.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and completed radiation treatment in 2017. Recently my PSA number has increased to 2.4 and my urologist scheduled a pylarify test. The results identified two lymph nodes and the left seminal vessel as areas of concern. An appointment with an oncologist was scheduled

What PSA # indicates bio chemical re-occurrence in Stage4 metastatic patients who still have prostate and did not have radiation or chemo?
In my case I went straight to adt. what PSA values indicate BCR in a man with metastatic disease who still has a prostate? I'm having a difficult time finding this information. My MO just says that they look for trends (dblng) but does an increase albeit in a normal range indicate BCR?
