hello everyone. I’m in the U.S. and completed BR in 11/18 and am in remission according to my labs so I have been getting all my screenings done. A month ago a skin cancer (basal cell) was removed from my right cheek just below my eye. In 4 weeks I have to have Mohs surgery to the site which means

still feeling rubbish, any ideas please?
I deduced after someone kindly informed me I possibly have IDWA iron deficiency without
anaemia
as one measure or another has been low most of my adult life (often low haemaglobin problems which this time is mid range and has been better, possibly since menopause) but no one has ever had an explanation

I have now developed
anaemia
too and have terrible monthly symptoms including brain fog, confusion, fatigue, pelvic pain etc - although this isn’t all of the time. Sometimes I’m “normal”.

Ferrous Fumerate and pre-existing Reflux
Any tips on how to take ferrous ferritin when you are already prone to reflux (for which I take a PPI)? My guts have just about put up with FF since December, and it has greatly improved my RLS, but increasingly given I take it at night it’s caused bad reflux and I had a massive flare recently during

People new to Pernicious
Anaemia
/vitamin B12 deficiency who have no choice to self inject are often confused as to the frequency that they should. You may want to consider Hunter’s words, ‘Don’t think, try.’ Your body tells you by symptoms, so listen to it.

Low Platelet, WBC, Lymphocyte etc
Good morning, I was wondering whether it is normal for those of us with UAT/Hashimotos to have low counts on these things? Whenever I get a full test done they come back slightly low or borderline. These are the ones I'm generally low or borderline on (since around 2012) : Lymphocyte count - last

Influences of sleep and the circadian rhythm on iron-status indices
I suspect few, if any, of us have ever really thought about iron tests varying by time of day. However much we understand with regard to thyroid, somehow I think most of us imagine iron as being more "bucket chemistry". But this paper might force us to re-assess!

MCV result Medichecks - NHS comparison
Just had my latest NHS Full Blood Count report and I noticed when putting them into my spreadsheet 😇 that there is always a big difference in my MCV results between these two? NHS... Mean cell volume (42A..) 92.1 fL [80 - 100] Medichecks... 97.9fL (81-98) Always taken under same conditions, within

Neurologist able to tell the difference between PA and MS on an MRI
I am desperately seeking a neurologist in the UK who is able to tell the difference between Pernicious
Anaemia
and MS (especially how both show up on MRI scans) as I currently have two different doctors telling me two different things and I am unsure where to turn for clarity at this point.

My consultant is going to town with his blood tests. He is now saying that I have
anaemia

Full blown PV now
I was diagnosed with Jak2+ PV back in January 2020. At that time, I didn't have high RBC, Hemaglobin, or hematocrit. I had high platelets, high WBC, basophilia, and eosinophilia. My hematologist said she was calling it PV rather than ET due to the high counts other than my platelets. She was completely

Transcobalamin
I have read often that B12 in the blood stream is not important and all that is important is the B12 available at the cellular level. I have not read as of yet that it is possible to experience both PA and an inborn transcobalamin error. It seems to be a one or the other method. With an inborn transcobalamin

Blood test questions
Hi everyone, I got back my third major blood panel. The only things that have been (slightly) high each time since starting the pred were my WBC and hemoglobin. Is this the normal for 25mg pred? Or something I should worry more about? Also, I haven't gotten a blood test for IL-6 yet. If I do, and if

calm magnesium powder
I love the calm magnesium powder, helps with relaxation & constipation. However, I don’t know its effect on Diabetis type 2 & hemophilia A factor 8 inhibitors. I started giving a small dose to my husband & saw improvement in memory.( he has dementia )Sadly he also has diabetes 2 & hemophilia A. I May
