Medichecks results
I finally got my medichecks results and am a bit confused with the results. March 22 the GP tested my tsh and it was 1.88. I am very surprised to see it has gone up so fast. Also my t4 & t3 don't look as low as I was expecting. Medichecks results : Test taken on April 17, 7am, empty stomach. Tsh:

test results
Hi I received these blood test results today but didn’t receive any explanation and wondered if anyone knew if they were within the normal range before I can eventually speak to a doctor. Also my FIT test came back negative but my calprotectin was raised at 65. many thanks.

Hubby's MOT
So my husband, aged 79, was called into GP surgery for MOT as not been seen since before COVID. Bloods taken, BP, weight etc. so I suggested he get a printout+ low+ behold lots of tests taken not discussed (even tho told all ok) - it was a phone call. One test was thyroid function test : TSH, T4 but

Still having symptoms of hypothyroidism despite medication - any advice?
I wondered if anyone could please share their thoughts on my situation. I was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism around 8 years ago, but didn’t have any symptoms (apart from some fatigue). Then, after contracting COVID in 2020, I began to have symptoms like 30-35lb weight gain (unexplained),

Looks Like My Cholesterol Is High, Yikes
I've spent the best part of the day at my local hospital today. I saw my GP as I'd been experiencing increasing shortness of breath over the last week or so and as I had pericarditis last summer I think they wanted to be sure it wasnt anything similar. So I got sent to the one stop shop aka SDEC, same

ERFA vs Thyroid S
Hi Folks.Would people say that ERFA has higher percentages of T4 and T3 than in Thyroid S generally? I am presuming it's purer as there are less binders, fillers and chemicals in the ERFA. If anyone has switched from Thyroid S to ERFA, any advice on dosing levels (eg. had to increase or decrease, symptoms

liothyronine
Hi. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2005. My thyroid and para thyroid glands were removed. I have been on Liothyronine ever since. I was monitored by an oncologist until 4 years ago, and now by my GP. I had been taking liothyronine 20mcg x 3 times daily. My GP has tried to reduce this to 20mcg

medicheck results, what to do next?
I have posted my results before from Medichecks and I persuaded my youngest daughter to take the thyroid and vitamin test recently due to her symptoms of lethargy and the fact that not only I have hypothyroidism but also her Dad and older sister. Her iron plus Vit D were all low so she is now taking

Really struggling
I have not been able to take thyroxine when I was diagnosed in March 2021, ended up on low FODMAP and with a homeopath and naturopath but went from 9 st 5 to 7 stone 11 when doctors got concerned. Every time I tried to include a food back in diet I was worse. Started thyroxine liquid in September 2023

Chronic Hashimotos and long term side effects
Hi, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos 41 years ago after 6 years of feeling awful. A locum GP spotted a goitre in my throat as I was talking to him. I have been on 100 mcg of Thyroxine ever since. Now I am 66 . I have always suffered from hypoglycaemia-type symptoms after any type of exercise (even

What causes subclinical hypothyroidism?
My brief history: Diagnosed subclincal last year and have felt persistently awful on all doses of levo (25-75mcg) and 75 pushed my t4 slightly too high. The side effects of it have been debilitating and in many ways I feel worse taking it. 25mcg puts my t4 at around 18 which seemed high for a tiny dose

PMR Flare
So I think I might be in full flare. Last September, I was told to taper off pred. I ignored what I was told about being down to zero by the end of the year as I considered it unrealistic and went at my own pace. By mid Feb, I was hovering around 3/2.5/2 mg and by then, my legs, hips and back were

phosphate
Good Evening, a little question. I was reading an article about white and whole grain bread. I believe with CKD it is advised to eat white bread due to lower phosphates. The article said that this is not always the case, as although whole grain has more phosphates we only absorb 20-50% of the phosphates

advice, thoughts please, feeling rather desperate?!
hi I only got one response to my recent post which was so kind but no feedback so am trying again as I’m a bit stumped. I’d hoped going on NDT would relieve fibro symptoms and generally help me feel better, and give me more energy, but despite latest test results I don’t feel that much different. Certainly
