15 month old - 'probably asthma' - advice please x
Hello everyone. Just a bit of background. My daughter will be 15 months next week. When she was 2/3/4 months old (Feb/March Apr time), over that period of time she had very noisy breathing. She was eventually given antibiotics and that cleared it up. She was symptom free until Oct/Nov last year.

How long should it take for antibiotics to leave the system?
Long story short.... I was prescribed 500mg amoxicillin 3/day for 10 days. Which is a lot! Anyhow, I thought I'd try 2/day and see how I got on, so I took 2 on Wednesday. When I woke up yesterday I was already feeling weird and should have immediately recognised the signs of an oncoming migraine.

UTI
My mother was catheterized with an in dwelling catheter several years ago as she was not able to empty her bladder and she was constantly requesting to go to the bathroom. She is currently having chronic UTI's. Although we have used several antibiotics for UTI's, none have resolved the infection.

Recurrent GBS now 25 weeks
Hi, I'm now 25 weeks pregnant with my second child and GBS showed up in my first urine test done about 8 weeks. Since then I've had 4 courses of amoxicillin and although it clears up for a few days, it always comes back. I've just had my midwife on the phone and she says I have it again but we should

Will I still be able to have chemo?
I developed a cold on Sunday and chemo unit advised me to contact out of hours GP for antibiotics. They said that they wanted to prevent me getting chest infection. I was given 7 days amoxicillin 500 mg. I know that antibiotics don't work on viruses but I am taking them if its going to stop chest infection

Trust Your Pharmacist?
Today the BBC has posted the story below. Funny how we are always being told to consult with our pharmacists because they know so much. I guess that precludes them claiming ignorance in these cases? [i] 17 December 2012 Last updated at 10:28

Bronchiectasis Question
Hello All I have COPD and Bronchiectasis,I am under the Consultant at the Hospital who, after looking at my CT Scan results said he was not concerned about my COPD as it was very mild. I have had all the symptoms of a chest infection for the past 4 weeks, and I have been into hospital for tests.

Conflicting advise GP v hospital
We have a little boy who started with what we were told was winter wheezing just over a year ago. After many chest infections & breathlessness being given prednisolone, amoxicillin and nebulizers, they finally said he was asthmatic around 6months in. He's now on brown and blue inhalers ceterezine
