Work still doesn't understand
I saw the GP earlier this week and he wanted me to reduce my dose of
amitriptyline
as I didn't seem so depressed then I reminded him that he had prescribed it to try and help with the fibro. He agreed to keep me on current dose then went on to ask how my husband was!!!

Pain in neck and head
I'm on 20mg of
amitriptyline
which is to increase by 10mg each week until I feel 'side effects' (not really sure what that means) my gp said. Is this 'normal' pain for fibro? Whatever normal is. I've only been diagnosed 2 weeks and am still coming to terms with everything and am feeling scared.

Back pain/sciatic nerve issues
I am on nortriptyline for pain, which is better than the
amitriptyline
I was on, but the numbness is affecting me badly. I had an MRI that showed no back problems but was referred to the spine clinic.

Weaning off morphine, gabapentin and amitriptyline to try for baby, in A LOT of pain, don't think I can do this.
What has worked for the past 4.5yrs or so is 75mg
amitriptyline
, 3600mg gabapentin, 60mg morphine sulphate SR, and 20-60ml 10mg/5ml oral morphine solution prn. I've still been in pain, sometimes lots, but it's been bearable. I also have polycystic ovary syndrome, diabetes type 2, and am fat.

Anything for pain?
I was taking
Amitriptyline
for pain but after telling my GP it didn't help I was taken off it completely. I take already codeine, paracetamol, ibuprofen and buscopan. Heartburn and indigestion tablets for when I feel sick as well as using heat pads, hot water bottles and microwave bean bears.

Ibs/endo?

Fatigue/insomnia - is mirtazapine helpful?
So I have been on 30mg
amitriptyline
since early January, with a possible escalation to 50mg in due course. I've also tried zopiclone. But so far, this has had no effect on either sleep or fatigue.

Terrible Amitriptyline Experience!
Hi All, I've recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and was given
Amitriptyline
10mg by my GP a couple of weeks ago. I have 2 children under 2 and I'm recently single so was advised not to take them until someone could stay overnight with me.

Proctalgia fugax (whaaaat?)
I wonder if it is related to the ongoing nerve pain I have from my old hip and femur fractures, and whether the
amitriptyline
and other meds I'm now taking have any effect, one way or another. Or nerve compression from my extremely sedentary lifestyle?
