Diagnosed 1999, update
A summary of my prostate cancer diagnosis and treatments appears in my profile. I was diagnosed in 1999, age 56, now age 75. I have been on Xtandi since August 2017. PSA is now stable at 1.8. No new metastasis. Xtandi seems to be working very well. Main issues now, are stomach pain, bloating, constipation

More than one antispasmodic med
Is it normal to be put on 2 different antispasmodic meds at the same time? I've been on Mebeverine for about a month and I don't feel any benefit so I say my GP today and told him the constant pain isn't easing at all, so he's put me on Alverine too! He told me to keep taking the Mebeverine as well?

Relief of abdominal bloating and gas pain
I am having a lot of abdominal bloating and gas pain since starting Xtandi. I have been taking Simethicone 180 mg soft gels, gas relief and prevention enzyme supplement 1 capsule per day, and probiotic colon support 1 capsule per day. These have helped a little but it is still greatly affecting daily

Hi all hope everyone is as good as can be expected. This is my 1st post on here so not really sure what I should/shouldn't be writing here. I have had severe IBS since early childhood, I was firstly diagnosed with spastic colon when I was around 6 or 7 years old, from there it has progressively got worse

Lactose Intolerance
Not posted for a while, thought I would let you know how this 80 year old is going. Latest, went to docs with stomach gurgling and funny feeling in it all the time. He said, looks like you've got lactose intolerance, well I wonder if that is what I've had for years, could it be why my top lips felt funny

Does anyone get colic from/with GORD?
I am a long time sufferer of GERD/GORD (depending on where you come from!) and I have oesophagitis because of it. I now also suffer from IBS, which may or may not be related, but it makes eating a whole lot of fun. Over a month ago I had an attack of 'biliary colic' (not really, as I no longer have a

Severe colic that won't go away - anyone else had this?
Hi, I was diagnosed - very casually as if it was unimportant - with IBS a while back. About 3 weeks ago I ended up in hospital with what felt like biliary colic (gallstone pain). If you've ever had an attack of colic you'll know how it feels: agonisingly tight, like someone is crushing your chest, with

Hi all, I've been a lurker on various gut related forums for a couple of years now, but now I feel I have something useful to share, I wanted to make a first post. Since a bad bout of food poisoning in 2006, I've suffered from what has been variably described as "IBS", "Bowel function disorder", "Visceral
