Newbie to the forum. I've suffered from IBS for the last 4-5 years. Whilst living in France my doctor prescribed me Meteospasmyl, a mixture of Alverine and Simeticone.
I have recently moved back to the U.K but my doctor is not aware of it. Anyone know anything or if i can get this anywhere in the U.K?

Alverine citrate is available from your doctor and I think that simethicone might be known as simeticone in the UK, although the doses of this appear to be lower than the doses given in meteospasmyl. Simeticone is the active ingredient in a range of gas relief tablets in the UK.
I bought this product in Turkey, brought lots back with me from holiday and then a friend brought more at a later time. Can't find them in UK although Amazon advertise them but they have none in stock. Good product so if I find them somewhere I'll let you know.
