Panic attacks return full throttle.
I had a minor panic attack in december but besides that I was free from it for about 6 months. Until now. I was just playing a game until all the thoughts started rushing into my head. My entire body was heating and my chest was becoming increasingly uncomfortable, I felt as if I could barely even gasp

Super Anxious about my Heart!!
I'm 17 years old and I supposedly have anxiety. My chest pain and nausea and shortness of breath seem unreal it's so bad. My parents and my friends and doctor and my counselor say it's just anxiety/stress, but I can't get the words "heart attack" out of my head. I feel like I could just die any second

Heart attack
Hi guys. I'm 17 years old and all I can think about is my chest pain and fearing a heart attack and dying. My doctor said there is no way someone as young as me should be having heart problems unless I've had previous heart problems or I'm doing drugs or if I'm very athletic. I'm none of those, but I

Scared of heart attack
Hey y'all. I'm new to this and I really need some advice. I'm 17 years old and I'm battling anxiety. I keep having chest pains and arm pain and back pain and just all kinds of pain. The main thing that bothers me tho is my chest pain and shortness of breath. I'm steadily scared I'm going to have a heart

Puzzled by CHADS, response to djroute66
"I still can't get my head around CHADS scoring which I am zero on. As surely AF is AF how can I be at lesser risk of blood clots than someone with a score of 1,2 or 3 ? and indeed if there's no difference what is the point of even mentioning chad score?" This is a link to the original posting so please

Life is good.
I am a woman who at 61 years of age had a heart attack on my first day of retirement. I woke up and had heaviness and aching in both arms, plus pain in my shoulder, neck and jaws. I have been aware of the different symptoms of heart attacks for women. I lost my father at age 45 to a heart attack and

Further update on my AF
I spoke to the head Dr at my surgery today and he said he did not say for me not to take rivaroxaban, he said as my stroke risk was only 2.2% he would rather me be on aspirin because of my heart attack in 2007. (He did tell me to stop the rivaroxaban) However, although I am not against taking anticoagulants

AF riskier for women
I just heard about this news story on five live: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-35347559 "Having an irregular heartbeat poses a greater health risk to women than men, a review of 30 studies, involving more than four million patients, suggests. The women with atrial fibrillation (AF) were almost twice

It's back, and worse than ever.
After about 2-3 months of being panic attack free, they have striken again. Then chest pain came and went quicker(still having the

My Breaking Point
I have written posts on here and hopefully this helps me because I am at my breaking point. In November of 2015, my chest and left arm went numb and I thought I was having a heart attack. It turns out it was nothing. However, over the last 2 months I have been to the ER 5 times, have 7 to 8 EKG's,

Cholesterol goes up heart disease goes down
Just in case you haven't seen it, a really good blog from Dr Malcolm Kendrick: As readers of this blog will know well, I do not believe that cholesterol levels have anything to do with heart disease, which would more accurately called coronary artery disease (CAD) or coronary heart disease (CHD). This
