Looking for relief on shuffling and freezing during off periods. These symptoms are driving me nuts....
Hey guys. I would like to have any recommendations may work to you all having similar disgusting episodes. It hurts my self esteem and erodes my strength. I have been with PD over 12 years now and I am able to deal with most symptoms like tremors, dystonia, stiffness, rigidity, muscle pain, hallucination

Relief from Artane but none with Sinemet
I’m curious if anyone else has had symptom relief while taking Artane after levodopa provided no relief? My neurologist had me on Sinemet, eventually up to 3 tablets 4x a day. During this time I didn’t experience any symptom relief. He recently had me try Artane, and after taking 1/2 tablet 2x a day

Chest pains but hospital says I’m fine
Hi I’ve been having chest pains for about a month now. Along with arm pain and back pain. I’ve been checked out four times and they say I’m perfect. My blood sugar is a little bad but I’m working on it. I’ve also been having bubbly feeling in my chest and racing pulse which feels like it’s in my back

Hello all, this is my first post and have learned alot from others here. My question seems basic and one could wonder why I have not received a good answer. I have had intermittent AF for 25 years. For the most part, it has been controlled by meds, several over the years. With a few exceptions conversion

Family history of stroke
I have a Chade score of 1, no other health problems. My older sister had a TIA Attack last night and I have another sister who had a massive stroke years ago. My question is should I be on anticoagulants due to family history?

Should we screen for atrial fibrillation? Article in the BMJ
I cant see any reference to thyroid disorders From the BMJ https://www.bmj.com/content/364/bmj.l43 BMJ 2019; 364 doi: https://doi.org/10.1136/bmj.l43 (Published 13 February 2019) Cite this as: BMJ 2019;364:l43 Current evidence is sufficient to justify a national screening programme, argues Mark Lown

80 mg Atorvastatin and Anxiety
I'm brand new and looking for answers. I never smoked, I worked out, and kept my weight down. My cholesterol numbers were pretty normal. Even so, 15 years ago I developed full body RA and had a heart attack at 46 (on my daughter's 2nd birthday). My doc put me on Plavix, Metropralol, Ramipril, and 20

Statins
On the back of TheAwfulToad's post re Dwight Lundell, consider this: If you've had a heart attack and take statins for 5 years as a consequence, your extended lifespan would be considerable and worth putting up with the side effects up to and including rhabdomyolysis wouldn't it? Mad anxiety
What is the longest a heart attack can go on for? Mine has now been going on for 2.5 years. Impressive right. Dodgy breathing and a throbbing left hand are today’s symptoms. Like my left hand and even my arm are so numb now it’s getting ridiculous.

Heart attack caused by AF episode?
I had a very mild heart attack while hospitalized for an extended AF episode. I went to the ER after I detected an episode 1st thing in the morning. I went in only because I feared it might have started while I was asleep as much as 7 hours earlier. My cardiologist seemed to think it strange to have

Yes....but 5 times greater than what exactly?
Firstly, I must make it absolutely clear that I am not medically trained and the following is my interpretation of what we were told last evening with regard to this important question. Other members of the forum were also present, so I'm sure if they think I got the message wrong they will comment,
