Price of T3
Hi - My GP tells me he cannot subscribe T3 even if recommended to by a private endo as London SW health authority doesn't allow it. My only option (apart from moving house!) is to get a private consultation and trial. I intend to do this as I need to know if I can feel better or not He cautioned me

Help with how to proceed
Delighted to report that after 6 months trying and trialling different levels of Eltroxin, I have at last persuaded the GP to agree to adding t3 back into my prescription. I’m not sure how best to take it though, whether to reduce eltroxin or not. And the GP really didn’t know but gave me 10 Thybon as

Confusing results and Nodule
This is the response from Endocrinologist'. I don’t feel great. I have low energy levels compared to normal, I’m so tired , always cold or temperature sensitive. Reading this response, it doesn’t sound that they plan to offer to medicate me. But the thought of feeling like this indefinitely fills

Good news - After Endo
Well, what can I say? I went to my Endo appointment on Thursday armed with research papers, questions and my stand on having my thyroid taken out or ablated. Quite surprisingly, I saw a different consultant to the previous one I had seen last year, who sent me a letter stating that if I came back,

High inflammation
I’ve been caring for my husband for months with things becoming progressively difficult. Fortunately he now has personal medical care. Since Christmas my stress levels have gone into overdrive. Since new year I have been totally exhausted and sick most days, though I’m not eating a lot. Any day to day

Does The Thyroid Affect Potassium Levels?
Hi! A bit of a random question but I’ve recently had some bloods taken by my GP surgery and my potassium levels have come back a little low (3.2 range 3.5-5.3) My TSH is 3.06 (range 0.27-4.20), which I think is a little too high although in range, so it got me thinking if there is a link at all between

Oestrogen dominance & poor T3 conversion
I’m interested to get any information on oestrogen dominance and it’s impacts on thyroid especially with the conversion of T4 into T3 thyroid hormone, which leads to low T3 levels.

Out of curiosity has anyone self medicated on T3 and purchased from abroad specifically Spain. I have spent the last 3 years asking gp for endo referral to be told tsh is fine. I'm at my whits end with weight gain! 5ft 2 and 16stone 7lbs I've had enough not to mention the brain fog and rubbish hair

Bottom of T4 range - Graves
Ok - had a mental health crisis over the weekend - not feeling great but kinda sorted myself out. I was waiting for results which get posted and thought I had gone up the scale turns out T4 is 12 (range is 11-23) lowest it's ever been and TSH is 0.20 (range is 0.27-4.5) - they won't test anything else

Extra folate & biotin?
Since 24th April, I’ve taken 50mg levo daily, with BioCare Adreno Complex, Igennus Super B-Complex and separate Igennus B12. It’s early days, but in due course I plan to increase levo to 75mg, then 100mg, if my obliging GP will prescribe it. My question is this: is it safe/advisable/helpful to add in

Latest Thyroid Blood Results
I have had no comment from these recent results from my gp. Currently I am struggling to sleep, my heart is palpitating ALOT, I am feeling cold to the bone and shivery but no temperature. These are familiar symptoms but if I am understanding the results, my TSH is borderline or just under but yet

Poor GP response for years!
Hello. First time poster here Long story short I have been taking Levothyroxine for around 8 years and within this time I have had a constant battle with my GP to manage my symptoms. Unfortunately I have found that it does depend on which GP you get as to whether they will increase Levothyroxine.

New and could use some advice
I'm new and not yet diagnosed. I have a call with the GP on Friday, but to be honest I've not had the best service from my GP unless I go in well informed. I'm mainly worried about a variation in TSH in a short time. I have a family history of hypothyroidism and currently take no medication what so
