Headaches
Ever since last week when it started getting really warm here in the london area i have been getting headaches almost every day. They are not bad, but they are still really annoying. I eat properly and drink lots of water. Could it be allergies? I dont really know when allergy season starts here in england

Sea Food Allergy Question
I am allergic to most fish and shell fish. Do you think it would be safe for me to eat sea weed? Like with sushi without fish for example? I haven't really tried because I am extremely paranoid about my food allergies (the past two times I have accidentaly eaten sea food I've ended up with adrenalin,

Frustrated and sick
seems the flu jab only puts off the inevitable. This saturday the flu hit me like a tonne of bricks. normally i'd be ok with this, but since then my chest feels like it will explode, coughing up gunk like no tomorrow. went to cons appointment, wheezed my way through a spiriotomy and allergy test, only

I'm struggling controlling my asthma right now and have the feeling that the doctors may not be helping. So I'm going to throw this out in the hope that someone else has had a similar experience and may have any pointers/helpful advice. I have had asthma all my life. Two years ago I started running

Allergies, Asthma, Exercise, Hyperventilation, and Panic Disorders; is there a common link?
Here is a very good article on the links between asthma and hyperventilation which I am posting the link to. I hope some of you will read it as it is very interesting and, I think, is important for all asthma sufferers to know. Hope it helps. Allergies, Asthma, Exercise, Hyperventilation, and Panic

aches and pains - can allergy cause them?
Hi everyone, I have home nebs, seretide etc, and am allergic to dust mites and tree pollens. Every so often I get these ""attacks"" of bad pain all over, muscles and joints, like flu, and feel really disabled, hobbling round like an old lady. This last month I've had it for several odd days and the

Allergies
I thought I'd make a space for allergy discussions...I think i may have discovered a new allergy - after drinking diet tonic water my throat appears to swell up, which isn't a lot of fun. then I remembered being given very strong squash as a kid, and it giving me breathing problems. So could I be allergic

Hayfever+steroids
Hi, I`ve got COPD and asthma but till now haven`t suffered from hayfever but I had a really sore throat and tight chest for two weeks. Anyway we went away for a few days in the caravan and it got worse so I took 6 steroid tablets a day for five days. This really helped but now I`m off them it`s all starting

Too allergic for allergy tests?!
I had a hospital appointment today with a view to have some scratch/patch testing to try and figure out what I'm reacting to, but was told that I couldn't have it done because I would have to stop my allergy meds and some of my asthma meds and they thought it was too risky.I just couldn't help but appreciate

When does Asthma change to COPD, or does it?
I live in the forest in Berkshire and the tree pollen is/was particularly difficult in 2009 I had a really bad year; it was particularly difficult to breathe with all the usual hay fever symptoms. I have had chest/breathing problems since 1990. I have always been treated for Asthma and seasonal hay fever

New to the forum
I had asthma as a child, but grew out of it. Then I got hayfever & grew out of that. I was diagnosed with asthma again about 12 years ago. It started with a persistant cough, but has been fairly controlled since. I did have trouble at times working in town & in an office, but coped. Then 4 months

Debating Chamber no. 3 - Allergy and Parkinsons
Has anyone read anything about allergy related rhinitis and asthma pre-disposing to Parkinsons? I caught a glimpse of an article in the Nursing Times today but not sure which one it was.
