Newly diagnosed! boohoo :(
Hi everyone, I have just been told that I have asthma and am very unsure about anything I should be doing to help it. I have allergies which seem to make it worse, as well as ice cream, cold drinks, extremes of temperature, smoke etc. Any suggestions for anything that can help me? Obviously I will

COLD OR ALLERGY?
Hello Everyone, I have had a blocked nose (or at least it feels blocked) and the feeling of phlegm stuck down my throat for the last couple of months with only a few days here and there when I am symptom free. I am sure this is making my asthma worse. I find it hard to believe that it is a cold

starting to have my doubts...
i am confused... I was diagnosed with asthma a year ago but was not told what type it was and as i do not have a particular problem with exercise i assumed it was allergic asthma as i developed it when i came to live in the uk in a fully carpeted house (i used to live in a stone floored house) and therefore

Spirulina
I've been reading quite a lot about this stuff and how it is good for allergies and boosting the immune-system. I have in fact bought some and tried it today, then read about the side-effects!! I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of taking this either as a supplement or as powder and if so

Honey
Morning hope all feeling good today, I have read somewhere that if you use honey that is local to your area it relieves hay fever quite a lot, as the honey is made from the pollen in your area that gives you the hay fever, sounds as though it makes sense, i will give it a go, i use honey in nearly everything

Does this sound like an asthma flare up?
I was diagnosed with asthma at the age of 9, and took a preventer until the age of 14 when I thought I had grown out of it, since the cough and chest tightness was dealt with by the preventer and I had never been given a reliever as never needed it. I had never had hayfever as a child, but over the

Allergic to my toothpaste? Does anyone know much about aspirin allergy?
Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything more than me about what to do about this? I was diagnosed with contact allergies three years ago (Basalm of Peru and Propylene Glycol). There are only a few lotions, shampoos, and toothpastes that I can use

Hayfever
If any of you guys get hayfever, when do you start with it and when do you finish. I tend to start in early April and finish in mid August. Is this unusual?

red wine allergy
I seem to be allergic to red wine and wonder if this is connected to my having asthma? When I drink red wine I often find that my nose starts to run, and becomes blocked, and I feel as if I have a cold. I have also noticed that some red wine seems worse and wonder why this is? Any ideas?

Breathing exercises + allergies
Hello, My asthma has been pretty good since I came off the steriods a few years ago (I was on them for 11 months, blew up like a fish, gained 3 stone!!), aside from the little blips here and there. But recently I have noticed a decline in my asthma. It started a few weeks ago with a chest infection
