Neurogenic bladder help!
I was on Tadalafil,
Alfuzosin
and Sildosin. I'm retaining 600CCs before I go and my urologist suggested intermittent catheterization. I've been doing that 4x a day for the last two weeks and frankly it stinks.

How long of a delay in treatment is too long? And how does weak urinary flow interface with RT?
He then prescribed
alfuzosin
, but I was afraid to take it because of some similarities to Doxazosin. What to do? Doxazosin apparently comes in a 1mg. dosage. Does it make sense to try that, maybe just before bedtime instead of after dinner, and see if I can gradually build it up to 4mg?

Alfuzosin doesn't make a difference!
Why would some men have no response to
Alfuzosin
? My doc says it's the best. Does it indicate I might have a different disease? Is there a common denominator in the men for whom this drug is ineffective? Anyone else have this experience?

Bladder issues/benign Prostate hypertrophy
Also had urodynamics to rule out any bladder problems I now find myself taking
Alfuzosin
three times a day but still have overnight leakages (usually when erect). I take supplements like pumpkin seed oil. Saw palmetto, cranberry but symptoms don’t seem to subside.

A Question about Recovery
I have been taking
Alfuzosin
10 mg since January 1, and although I know it helps I still feel far from normal. I am able to achieve erections and orgasm although the latter is uncomfortable as well.

My SBRT Journey
They also prescribed a medication to increase the urine flow called
Alfuzosin
. I started taking the
Alfuzosin
after a few days as the restricted flow and associated discomfort was relentless. I felt like I needed to be all the time. December 17 9 AM Today was pretty easy.

TRUP vs. alternatives
Alpha blockers include:
alfuzosin
(Uroxatral) doxazosin (Cardura) silodosin (Rapaflo) tamsulosin (Flomax) terazosin (Hytrin) 5-alpha reductase inhibitors for BPH This type of medication reduces the size of the prostate gland by blocking hormones that spur the growth of your prostate gland.

Urinary/bowel issues during radiation?
I’ve been on
Alfuzosin
10mg since the brachytherapy. Wondering if I should try one of the others? Trying to cut down on meals and go more low fiber to help with gas/bloating and frequency. Also trying to stick to mainly water, with none past dinner.

BPH, retrograde ejaculation and mental health (newbie post)
Previously I have been on tamsulosin and
alfuzosin
, separately. I have told my GP that I am suffering from moderate to severe fatigue, which I am, and which sometimes makes holding down a full time job extremely difficult, especially one in which I am required to be physically active.
