Bladder issues/benign Prostate hypertrophy

I’ve had a diagnosis of BPH for several years now.

had all the usual tests and too many cystoscopies! Also had urodynamics to rule out any bladder problems

I now find myself taking Alfuzosin three times a day but still have overnight leakages (usually when erect).

I take supplements like pumpkin seed oil. Saw palmetto, cranberry but symptoms don’t seem to subside.

Just wondering if anyone has tried anything else with success? Or had any other successful diagnoses from the GP or specialist?

I’m taking tamsulosin plus low dose tadalafil for my BPH. The combination has been great for me. Main symptoms were hesitancy and poor flow. Both gone now. I’ve avoided the cystoscope so far!

Tamsulosin initially made me dizzy too. It took a couple of months perseverance with it learning not to stand up too quickly. Also if I’m a bit dehydrated I am aware of palpitations so I drink much more water than I used too. Tadalafil is Cialis the ED drug, but in low doses it is approved in the UK and elsewhere for BPH. Adding it helped me, plus the “side effects “ are useful!

I’m pleased for you, but for me, in the words of a certain supermarket chain. “Every little helps!”
