Good news - After Endo
Well, what can I say? I went to my Endo appointment on Thursday armed with research papers, questions and my stand on having my thyroid taken out or ablated. Quite surprisingly, I saw a different consultant to the previous one I had seen last year, who sent me a letter stating that if I came back,

Hi, I have been stable on 150mcg T4 + 12.5mcg T3 for about 10 weeks (gradually dropped the levo and added the T3), I did this test the other week and was surprised to see such low serum T3. - I did the test fasted at 9.20am - The 12.5mcg T3 was taken the previous night at 9.20pm (12 hours before

I just came across this page on the BTF website which relates to a webinar/debate entitled "T3 or not T3". https://www.btf-thyroid.org/t3-or-not-t3-webinar-for-healthcare-professionals I should point out that the link is for a webinar that took place two years ago, but the year isn't mentioned. Brands of T3
Hi everyone I hope you’re all keeping well. Please could someone advise on the brands of T3. I was prescribed privately T3 in October & what an amazing difference it has made to my health. I was on Sigma Pharma 5mcg x 3 per day for two mths at a cost of £125 per mth. I then went on to Thybon Henning

T4/T3 levels
Hi. Quick question. I've just had blood test for TSH, T3+T4 after starting T3 in December from private Endo. I read in this forum that when starting T3 your T4 will fall, as will TSH. My TSH has been suppressed for years+no change since T3 added but my T4 hasn't dropped much at all:TSH <0.02 Free T4

It all started with a purple toe!
I've had high cholesterol for more than twenty years and although I've been prescribed statins, have never continued taking them until recently when I developed a purple toe. The doctor was concerned it was an embolism and I was sent for several tests and to see a consultant. It appears from an ECG

Update re: Total Confusion about Ferritin (Medichecks) Results!
As promised to Seaside Susie, and 6 months later, please see below response I've had from Medichecks. I'm just sad it didn't come in time for Seaside Susie to see that they had eventually listened to us! It is an improvement on the previous reference range for over 60yrs females but it raises more questions

Second blood test - subclinical? Please help!
Hello, I posted here a while ago with results from a Monitor My Health blood test and got some really helpful replies. It was also suggested that I do a full test to get a better picture so I did the Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test and have just got the results - they are saying I may
