Aberiterone / Zytiga first ADT treatment
Anyone have an experience with hormone-sensitive first
ADT
treatment of Zytiga / Aberiterone rather than more typical Lupron? If so, can you share? If others haven't been treated this way but have relevant info, that would also be appreciated. Regards, Jeff

Weight training and ADT
I thought maybe there was someone else out there who entered this treatment journey in good shape who might have some ideas for me on how to cope with
ADT
side effects. I am 59 years old and a little over 6 months into
ADT
. I will have between 6-12 months more.

Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
To keep you up to speed - 3 months ago, his
ADT
injections stopped working and his PSA started to climb up slowly. Oncologist put Dad on Enzalutamide - been on it for 6 cycles - tolerated well but his PSA has gone from 76 to 87 in one week. So Enzalutamide has started to become 'ineffective'.

Xtandi (enzalutamide) +ADT slows metastases in recurrent men
We recently saw that
ADT
+Erleada (apalutamide) slows progression compared to
ADT
alone.

Severe cramps and ADT
Once I started
ADT
(Lupron, abiraterone, prednisone), I started getting severe leg cramps at night. So bad and long lasting that they made me nauseous. These were coupled with occasional toes curling suddenly and very painfully and also jaw suddenly clenching.

New to this: travel during ADT & post EBRT?
Saw an oncologist and he explained normal course of treatment: start
ADT
, wait 2 months, do EBRT for appx 28 sessions. Continue on
ADT
for another few months, total 6 months. I go back to him early September to discuss PSMA/PET results and start whatever it is I need to do.

How long should PSA go down after SBRT
NADIR is reached, with no
ADT
, and when should one become concerned?

We all know that depriving PCa of T kills cancer cells and reduces symptoms-- the basis of
ADT
-- but despite doing a lot of reading about PCa and its treatments I have never come across any definitive study or evidence showing that PCa was aggravated by T except for the paper by Fowler and Whitmore.

Radiation for Salvage Treatment
However, I would like to know if weeks of external radiation with
ADT
, is the best treatment option here. The idea of blindly radiating pelvic area with a re-recurrence a few years later does not appeal to me. Not to mention possible lingering side effects from radiation.

ADT or Hospice?
The family is at a crossroads, deciding between starting him on
ADT
or having him enter hospice. As the urologist described it, without
ADT
he will get to the point where his bone structure can't support any body weight.

Second Gen ADT Drug Issues
Dont remember seeing this on here yet. I guess one weighs increased risk of dementia vs stopping PC. Wouldnt want to be in that position. I remember back before my SRT went on Bicalutamide for one month before SRT started and then stopped when I read that is also linked to dementia. Crap. https://www.urologytimes.com

Castration resistant in just a year? Normal or not? Provenge in my future.
I was diagnosed with stage 4b (mets in multiple bones and nodes) ductal and started
ADT
13 months ago. Nubeqa and Docetaxel (Triplet therapy) started 9 months ago, and finished chemo 4.5 months ago. Still on Lupron and Nubeqa.

Started MRI Guided SBRT at MSK
I started in mid-July a four month course of
ADT
with Orgovyx. So far I have experienced the typical side effects... mild hot flashes, loss of libido, ED and difficulty reaching orgasm. My blood sugars are rising by still under control.

Would I be on thin ice if I tried adaptive ADT this soon?
After 6 weeks on Lupron and 9 days on abiraterone, my PSA was .1, and my testosterone was <1. This is within the criteria being used to start people on adaptive in this MCSPC Moffitt study with Jingsong Yang - (he says I can just follow the protocol without being in the study)https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Questions about protocol changes regarding ADT from 2nd opinion.
However I do have the evidence of adenocarcinoma in the prostate and am starting on this road through RT (with an OAR barrier) and
ADT
scheduled next month. My question: is there a difference between Eligard and Lupron? My reading says they are for "advanced prostate cancer."

Newly detectable PSA after prostatectomy: RT + ADT planned; add Erleada?
Second opinion MO at UCLA recommends adding Erleada to
ADT
based on unpublished data from EMBARK and FORMULA 509. Primary MO discussed my case with 3 colleagues at other centers and says there is insufficient evidence for adding Erleada. Thoughts?

eGFR down 14% since starting ADT
I just noticed that my estimated GFR which measures kidney health is down from 89 in October to 77 in June 2023. In October I started Lupron. Does Lupron impact kidney health? This is something I want to keep track off. Mark
