AF medication
Hi I wonder if anyone else has experienced any of the following. I was prescribed apixaban and Bisoprolol after a mini stroke diagnosis last year. I couldn’t get along with Bisoprolol and so was swapped for Adizem. However, over the last couple of months I’ve developed a sort of loose chest cough

Preliminary report on B1 HDT trial -
Hi all, A full detailed report will be posted if and when I achieve a month of improvement. I've finally stabilized with sinemet cr 5x 200 and 10mg requip xl after 2 yr of drug adjustments and changes. I'm 10 yr post dx and would describe my symptoms as severe and poorly controlled. I'm rigidity

1 Episode of PAF at 46.
I am an otherwise healthy male who had one episode of PAF after getting drunk one night. It lasted about 8 hours and I was given Cardizem to reduce heart rate, but nothing else. I converted to NSR without anything else. My real bad habit is smoking which I am struggling to quit. I was on Tambocot but

Adizem
Have been prescribed Adizem in place of bisoprolol . The leaflet says do not take if you have a irregular heart beat which doesn’t make sense as I have AF. Anybody have experience with this drug?

Hallo all. I have been on adizem SR 90mg twice a day over the last ten days. I was diagnosed with AF during sudden episode after being ill and having prednisalone for a few days. After three days on Adizem my heart regularised. But pulse rate has been v low - 50-65 and down to 46 in sleep. Makes doing

Your experience of af please
I would be interested to know how the start of af affects you in those first few minutes ? like many others who have commentated on this site it often comes out of the blue. For me my chest/tummy start to feel hot followed by needing to take deep breaths. Once the racing af kicks in it is v hard not

Do the drugs keep me out of AF?
I am now 2 months post ablation. I had early recurrence at 12 days post ablation and nothing since. A lot of PACs and some close calls when I was sure it was going to go that way and didn’t. I take 240mg Cardizem daily. And 100 metropolol. My question is are these meds, specifically Cardizem keeping

Need some guidance
On 12/07 suddenly went into acute afib out of the blue. I didn’t know what was going on and went straight to Emergency room. An IV DRIP put me right back into rhythm. Dr. Put me on 30 mg cardizem 3 times daily . No issues since. The day it happened I had been sanitizing the house with straight

Chances of progression after ablation?
Hi All: i was just curious, and I know everyone is different, what are the odds of AF progressing to a permanent status? I have had an ablation and I am currently blanking. Only had one 5 hour run. Still on cardizem and metropolol and Eliquis. I rarely even have PACs anymore. I’m 39, and otherwise

Organized Atrial Tachycardia versus Normal Sinus Rhythm.
Had my last appointment for 2018 at the EP Cardiologist who informed me that I was in Organized Atrial Tachycardia which at the time sounded to me, like a variety of Normal Sinus rhythm however it is not- since it is not coming from the SA node. Does anyone have this type of rhythm? The EP Cardiologist

AF after Ablation
Hi All: Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I had a pulmonary embolism in April and went into AF as the hallmark sign I was in trouble. I had it once 5 years ago and thought I would never get it back. Now I am post ablation, and I had one 5 hour episode 12 days after the ablation. I usually

Pace & ablate, the only option?
Dear friends I having been following this site for about a year & have learnt many useful facts about AF. My first incident was about 4 year's ago after a heavy Christmas meal & drinks. After a terrible night with a wildly erratic heartbeat I went to see the doc sent me straight to Acute Assess Unit

Skipped beats
Don't believe myablation worked. Am at the 3 month mark and have what I call skipped beats 24/7. Dr. Has put me on 180mg cardizem along with 50 mg of flecianide (spelling?) twice a day. Anyone else on this combo?

Now 3 months past ablation
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I figured I should probably participate in some way because this forum has been a good resource for me both pre and post ablation procedure. First I'll give a little bit of background. I'm 44 years old, and a very active person. I've always been relatively fit, and
