Hi all, I’ve been quiet on the group for a while now as after my horrible introduction to rapid AF 18 months ago prompting a couple of stays in CCU things have settled on meds. The cardiologist has discharged me back to the Gp , apart from ectopics & odd thumps/ bumps I am well on adizem & flecanide

Waking in afib & first time PIP experience, love to hear experiences of others...
Summary-Diagnosed 14 months ago, 6 episodes since all cardioverted. Taking apixaban only, couldn't tolerate beta blocker, adizem lowered HR too much. On PFA list. Five out of six episodes of Afib on waking, the most recent being last Thursday, the sixth being the first, happened while exercising, unknowingly

Thinning Hair
I’ve been taking Rivaroxaban with Flecainide and Adizem for AFib. My hair has become noticeable thinner. My Consultant has just changed my Rivaroxaban to Apixaban which also has hair loss as a side effect. Does anyone have this problem and are you able to recommend anything to help? I’m 76 years old

What to do?
I recently had the strength of my Adizem meditation increased from 120mg to 180mg daily as my BP was increasingly higher than usual. This medication was prescribed to control my blood pressure and help my heart rhythm. I have noticed I have mild swelling round my ankles and slight puffiness of my feet

Tachycardia with Aortic Stenosis?
I’m 72 and was diagnosed with aortic stenosis 3 years ago. At that time I was mild to moderate. I haven’t had a cardiologist for 2 years, so that was my last echocardiogram. My question: Did or do any of you have tachycardia with your stenosis? I’ve always had mitral valve prolapse and arrhythmias

Diltiazem with Flecanaide
I now take 120mg Diltiazem Prolonged Release (
Adizem
XL
) each morning which has helped in bringing the heart rate down. I'm considering asking to be put back on Flecanaide again so that I can take it alongside the Diltiazem if possible.

Metallic taste after Edoxaban
Just a quick question. Does anyone have a metallic taste in their mouth after taking Edoxaban? It suits me to take the tablet before bedtime because I take Adizem in the morning to benefit me throughout the day. After taking Edoxaban in the evening, when I wake up in the night to make a bathroom call

Rivaroxaban
Happy New Year everyone! Just wondering if anyone else has any side effects from Rivaroxaban? I'd been taking 20mg per day since 2017 with no noticeable side effects. I not only have AF but Bronchiectasis as well. Needed to put a sputum sample in for testing and carried this out in the usual way

Anyone else gone from 36mg to 54mg of Concerta XL and suddenly it no longer works?
Newbie here....was diagnosed with ADHD last month and was prescribed concerta xl. 18mg for one week and then onto 36mg for 3 weeks. It felt like it was working fine and being effective but it was suggested that I go up to 54mg. I started 54mg last Monday 20th and I was expecting the sudden 'Woah! That's

Hawthorn supplement helped
I have had paroxysmal AF for several years, but episodes were getting more frequent and lasting longer in the past year. I am a 53 yo female, slim build, never smoked, in good health otherwise. My mom had AF (tachycardia) for 40 yrs and my brother has V tach, so it's very much genetic. I saw the cardiologist

Hypothyroidism & ADHD /meds
Hello, community! I’ve suffered from hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) since childhood, and after many years of poor response to Levothyroxine, successfully moved onto treatment with Natural Desiccated Thyroid almost ten years ago now. Switching to NDT was life-changing, and has really improved

I have just read some posts, mainly about the awful headaches. Yes I had these but after a while they disapeared. I have been diagnosed Angina? by cardiologist his question mark. I do not have chest pains but occasional tightness in neck. I also have AF. Since Ive been taking these tablets instead
