Sleep is complicated or perhaps not so much
The first of these is sleep pressure, the
adenosine
, (which can be affected by caffeine) The second of these is the GABA Glutamate balance which controls how active neurons are (beyond how much people are thinking).

MRI with Adenosine
Hi all, I'm due for an mri stress and contrast test next week. A thought occurred to me. I suffer acute angina and breathlessness after HA and stents and am on a truck load of drugs for it. I have to stop them all 24 hours before the mri and was wondering if the stress part could induce another HA.

Ablation for SVT
The other night and having the dreaded
adenosine
they started mentioning ablation again. I'm undecided what to do. I have had ecgs and monitors and scans but they can't find anything wrong with my heart only a slight mitral valve regurgitation which they said is normal for people my age, 50.

Wondering what I can do whilst awaiting tests/diagnosis. I'm only 28 and so anxious.
Adenosine
low dosage didn't work and I was too scared to go higher doses. Eventually was given a bisprolol which got it down. Started taking it daily but side effects were too much. Docs told me to try not taking it to see if side effects went. Some did some didn't.

MRI stress test with Adenosine - what is it like?
Hi, I am due to have an MRI stress test with
Adenosine
next week. Just wondered if anyone on here could tell me what it was like as I'm nervous about being in the tunnel and sedation is not an option. Did it cause a lot of breathlessness and pain for any of you?

Has anyone been given Adenosine?
I have had a spell in hospital between Christmas and New Year with rapid AF and was administered intravenous
Adenosine
. The doctor who gave it said “It will make you feel like s**t, I mean really s**t. You will think you are going to die.” He was right. Moreover, it didn’t work.

Coffee and Parkinson's disease. The incredible effects of this drink.

GFR and Heart Issues
Recently I had a prolonged SVT where I ended up in ER having a shot of
adenosine
. Three days later I had some bloods and my eGFR came back at 59 (creatinine 104). I checked my bloods I got done last year and the eGFR was 74.

Free ebook of 300 pages:"Parkinson's here and now. 27 years searching for a cure for Parkinson's disease (1994-2021)."
This coming Monday (if everything goes as planned) I will publish on my blog "Parkinson's here and now" the link to a free book of about 250-300 pages and in printable pdf format, which collects the most interesting of the book I published in 2015 (now translated into English) as a tribute to my father

Has anyone used Dipyridamole with effect for RLS?
Apparently he found that low levels of receptors of
adenosine
, a chemical in the brain that regulates neurochemicals, lead to abnormally high levels of glutamate and dopamine. Consequently thereapies that increase
adenosine
may help with RLS and Dipyridamole may be one.

Chapter 17. I dream of the revolution that must come... 2/2.
This is chapter 17 of a book I published in 2015, "A Different Way of Looking at Parkinson's. Almost 20 years of experience with my father's disease (1994-2012)" (only in Spanish). Although we have learned a lot more since that year, I think it can still be useful to most sufferers and family members

NADH Side Effects
I started taking NADH about a week ago. Instead of feeling better, I notice extreme fatigue, nausea and sleepiness but at the same time I have trouble sleeping. Has anyone else experienced these side effects?
