This explains how I’ve been an
addiction
recovery for nine years. I’ve had slips but the suffering that I endured during
addiction
was enough to keep me committed for nine actually almost 10 years in recovery from multiple substance addictions.

New to antidepressants (sertraline) - take it or leave it
This though has worried me a lot as from one point of view is acts as A very strong
addiction
. And all of the possible long-term sides effects are even more worrying.

Where does motivation for life come from?
Originally I started with stimulants and opioids, to get me through a crisis but that gave me an opioid
addiction
. I then discovered some safer opioids, tramadol and methadone, they are an improvement but not ideal.

How Calories from Sugar/simple carbs, are different than calories from other food.
This builds what is known as ‘tolerance’ or
addiction
. Once you begin consuming simple carbohydrates as your primary fuel source, you become addicted and desensitized and require ever-increasing quantities of food to achieve the same dopamine levels.

Replying to a comment that Alan Meyer made three years ago.
AlanMeyerAlanMeyer in reply to Roland632017 3 years ago I think that a good way to overcome an
addiction
is to get yourself addicted to something cheap and harmless. RonrunHU's interest in cactus sounds like a pretty good one.

I was finally diagnosed with OCD, GAD, Panic disorder, persistent depressive disorder and

I do and push my self only to retreat and stay in my room all day and practice my true
addiction
the TV. I guess I just want to feel I am not alone ( live alone with my amazing dog) Anyone out there that feels the same? Kindly share your story if you want to.

Addiction + Drawing ("Party Never Ends")
I havn't been able to find any community for
addiction
specifically but I'm hoping someone here can help. I've used various substances over the last few years to relieve anxiety, depression, and many other problems that can be temporarily erased. Most often I smoke weed in the form of a dab pen.

Temgesic or Subutex
I have an appointment next week at an
addiction
clinic, even though I am not an addict. I have restless legs and chronic back pain. I went to this particular clinic a couple of months ago to request a script for Subutex.

Day 33 - hubby update
The specialist he was referred too has booked him a 24hr ECG and an Echocardiogram, as they want to check his heart before they blame the blackouts on his alcohol related symptoms Counselling - Hubby is having weekly tel appts with an
addiction
counsellor.

It’s been a rough
😭😭😭 My ex is still struggling with his
addiction
problems and all I genuinely need is somebody to be there for me. Today I broke down into tears because I feel helpless and alone. I refuse to reach out to just anybody because I don’t think they’ll understand..

Could I have gotten cirrhosis from a holiday relapse?
I've been struggling hard with alcohol
addiction
. A health scare last year ended me up in the hospital as well as a bunch of tests with a hepatologist and a fibroscan which showed me at F2. Since then I've tried very seriously to stay sober, eat healthy, etc.

No Principle☝️ ❤️☀️☮️☯️🌻🧘🏻♀️🕉🌈🙏
Action so as to be consistent with the past develops into a programmatic
addiction
. It freezes you into stasis, halting the evolutionary march of becoming. You should retain all power over current behaviour. None should be yielded to the past.
