Stents AFTER failed CABG
Had stents fitted on Wednesday. Got home last night after a stay in CCU overnight. I was told at the time the surgeon managed to stent all three arteries (even the fully blocked one with 2 long stents, yayy!) Now I'm home and read the discharge letter it says one balloon to one artery and stents in the

IVIG after heart surgery and stopping IBRUTIMIB
12 months ago I was on an Ibrutinib clinical trial for my CLL. Ibrutinib worked great for me for years. I found out I needed a triple bypass due to 95% LAD artery blockage. Not good! A stent wasn’t an option in my case due to necessity for blood thinners. Can’t do blood thinners, aspirin and Irbutinib

just had stent fitted
I would like some feedback on timescales to get back to good level of activity post stent procedure?, I had it fitted after investigating a year long angina diagnosis, up until a week before the op I was playing golf 3 times a week and wondered how long to get back to that level if not better.

How far to push yourself.
I recently had a heat attack whilst abroad on New Year's Day, and had fantastic treatment and from arriving at the hospital to the operating table was just 90 mins. Had a stent inserted and sent home after 4 days. Then told to contact my GP back in UK, to get a referral to get cardio rehab.. Got a letter

shock - fight or flight response.
sometimes I wonder weather restless leg syndrome is induced by a traumatic experience in earlier life. The fight or flight response that is constantly on overdrive! Never being able to relax…. I’ve had the disorder for most of my life. Contrary to belief my symptoms stated at a very early age. Practitioners

Clopidegrol or Ticagrelor
I have asked my GP to review my medication since my HA and stent op in Sept 2022. I am on the usual Asprin Ramipril Ticagrelor Bisoprolol Atorvastatin. I have been getting burning arm pains since then. He only suggested changing Ticagrelor to Clopidegrol. I am really in confused state as to whether to

Why do I keep experiencing involuntary sharp intake of breath.
Hi I am m 3 weeks post CABG and increasingly I am experiencing sudden involuntary intake of breath. I can only describe it like when a child is sobbing and then suddenly draws in breath. My Sats are all good, breathing is otherwise normal. Has anyone else had this? 🥴

Statins & Steroids
I’ve been advised to take statins due to high cholesterol levels of 7.0, Serum triglycerides 2.3, HDL 2.5, HDL ratio 2.8, LDL 3.4, non HDL 4.5. I’m reluctant to take more meds but I’m unclear of the meaning of all the results and if I should take statins or not. I’ve read some articles stating that

Angiogram results
Well yesterday was my test day. I posted about it was going to be an angioplasty but I didn’t really want stents if there was a problem I wanted another bypass as it’s so close to my Quad CABG being done last year then I’d rather get it fixed then repaired. I had a long chat with the cardiologist and

Buprenorphine patch failure. Now very few med options left.
I have PLMD only. It wakes me 3 to 4 times a night and continues until I walk it off. As with many (most?) of you, my sleep architecture is wrecked. In my case I haven't had a continuous night's sleep for 13 years. So, after regimes of Clonazepam, Baclofen, Ropinirole, Gabapentin (twice) and Pregabalin

beta blockers
Why do the docs love prescribing these type of drugs. I never had them prior to my cabg. I have suffered the dizziness and light headed ness but it’s the overwhelming fatigue that gets me down. So last week l decided to record my b/p twice a day to see if that sheds any light on the situation. Long story

Afib and CAD double trouble and their vicious cycle
CAD (coronary artery disease) is a subset of a process disease called atherosclerosis, plaques of mainly fat build up inside arteries leading to intraluminal stenosis.. I post this one to draw attention to all of us, afibers, not trying to scare any of us. The purpose of this post is to do the right

Pregabalin/ropinirole
Hello there i haven't posted for a long time on this forum but I do read and keep an interest in other people's posts/views. I find it helps, sadly, knowing that other people are also experiencing what you are going through. so Ii have been taking Ropinirole for 18+ years. Drs decided I needed to

unstable angina
Hi I have been in and out of hospital since December with unstable angina. I am currently waiting for my 3rd angiogram so they can try drilling the blockage and fit a stent. 100 percent blocked right coronary artery double vessel disease. I am on so many tablets that I feel, like a zombie. Lisinopril

It’s gone a bit pear shaped
I posted the other day about having a stress echo, I knew it hadn’t gone well after all it lead to an angina attack. I’ve been having mild chest pains ever since my quadruple CABG last June which I thought would improve but it hasn’t. My surgeon called me today to tell me it looks like there is a problem

Sore, dry mouth
Hi, I have Fibromyalgia and ME/CFS and I suffer terribly with sore mouth, tongue and also dry mouth and throat. I’ve just been putting up with it for ages but it seems to be more constant now. I also have no idea what toothpaste or toothbrush to use as they keep making my sores worse. If anyone has
