Anyone done Fosamax and then tried Boniva?

I can try actonel but I would have to pay for that myself. $14 a week.

Experience with Actonel or Fosamax

Has anyone experience taking Actonel or Fosamax without esophageal symptoms? Did you take it daily, weekly or monthly? Also, what improvement has your DEXA scan shown? My physician says she has just started taking Actonel and is encouraging me to do so.

Starting Reclast

About 15 years ago, I was on Actonel for a year, but had significant esophageal side-effects and stopped it. I realize that an infusion of this same basic medication will not cause the same side-effects, but there are so many others I have read about and I am very nervous to start this process.

First dose of Actonel

I took my first dose of Actonel this morning, 35mg. I have had diarrhea since an hour after taking it. Will this pass as I get used to it?

Has anyone had sacral ala (pelvic) insufficiency fracture while on Prolia and/or a bisphosphonate?

I've been on Actonel 35mg weekly for the past 18 months as a relay drug to discontinue Prolia without fracturing.

Help and Opinions on Prolia for Osteoporosis

I have taken Actonel, Boniva, Forteo and Fosamax already. I really did not want to consider this because of the possibility of side affects lasting for 6 months. Then decided it is probably the right step.

What to take to discontinue Prolia safely and for how long?

However, neither the endocrinologist nor the two GPs I've spoken to seem to know whether taking a low dosage of Actonel daily will mitigate against rebound fractures, nor for how long it should be taken.

Is anyone on risedronate (Actonel) experiencing bowel pain and gas?

I've been on risedronate 5mg daily for 3 months now in order to wean off Prolia injections. I'm having a huge amount of gas (flatulence) as well as lower bowel pain from time to time. I eat a very healthy Mediterranean diet with no junk food, but it feels as if my meals are not being digested. Having

So she has given me Actonel to wean me off it, for the next three months. But after taking the Actonel, I got all the side effects with. Horrible medication, way too strong. I want to stop taking it all together. What are people's thoughts on this?

Risedronate (Actonel),raloxifene (Evista) or teriparatide (Forsteo)? Which do I choose? Experiences?

Hi. Currently living in the Netherlands but originally from UK (moved here 4.5 yrs ago). Had results from my 3 yearly DEXA. Spine worsened a bit (-3.3 to -3.6), hip improved (-2.2 to -2.1). I usually run a lot & take Calcium & vit d but a (still healing) metatarsal stress fracture & this result has made

Anyone had Jaw stiffness

Don't know if iit is the pred or the Actonel, both Dr and Rheumy said I must have. Only took 1 x 2 and didn't like them. Has anyone else had anything like this? I am now trying to reduce from 37mg.

Osteoporosis of the spine- but also good news!

If anyone can let me know if there's anything I should or should not do (aside from lambkicking) please feel free: don't know anything much except put on to Risedronate (Actonel).
