Does anyone here have take Actonel for more than two year, without reduction in your hip DEXA scores or bone density? Thanks

Has anyone done low dose Actonel and kept their gains (or not lost any bone density) and has anyone had migraine as side effect from Actonel. Would Fosamax be better for migraine? Thanks

Does anyone here take Actonel ( montly dose) and could talk about the side effects if any ( durantion, kind of side effects etc)?

Are the other biphsphonates the same as Actonel in side effects, eg. if one causes migraine will Fosamax, Boniva or Reclast cause migraine? Thanks

I have notice here by the testimonies of some of the followers, that they are using Actonel 35 mg instead of the 150mg. Any particular reason for that? I have started last month the 150 mg, but the preference for the 35 mg is due the side effect or other? Thanks again to all

I finished with Evenity 3 months ago, tried Actonel and Raloxifine to hold on to the gains, both gave me bad migraine. My consultant is now suggesting I take nothing, just Vitamin D, will I hold on to the gains with just Vitamin D? I thought we had to have something to keep the gains.

Would you take this over Actonel or other biophosphate, and if so, why? My Rheumatologist is suggesting this for -2.5 T score of femoral neck. Thank you for sharing your knowledge

Started on 10 mg Actonel and had 5 zig zag migraines in 3 weeks, came off, started on Raloxifine and after 8 days have just experience a zig zag migraine (worry about having a stroke on this med). Has anyone any experience with migraines and what med to take.

Took Evenity for 11 months, then Actonel low does caused bad migraine, then Raloxifine caused 5 day migraine now Alendronic Acid at only 20mg and non stop migraine for nearly a week, plus swollen feet, sleeping heavy and low mood.

After 4+ years of Actonel is Prolia a good choice for continued treatment of osteoporosis? I will be asking my rheumatologist the same question next time I see her.

Is there someone here who have tryed both dosages( 150 and 35 mg) so can tell us if with small weekly dosage we fell less side effects? Thanks again everyone!🌸🌳🌸🌳

Hello, I took Evenity for 11 months, stopped at that point through side effects, then tried to hold on to gains with a very low dose of Actonel (instant flashing light migraine), then Al Acid (very low dose) migraine again so tried Evista (migraine).

I´ve started last month my monthy dosis of Risedronate ( Actonel) and yesrteday I took my secont dosis, with any side affects so far. So I´m happy so far. Next densitromety, only in may 2025, so I can´t tell the increase or decrease of my scores.

Thank you in advance🙏 Ive had Thyroid Cancer (2015) with RAI Psoriatic Arthritis Dec 2020 on Prednisone , now down to 1.5mg but CRP crept up to 16🙄 and ESR 21 Also on ACTONEL for osteoporosis and i take supplements Vit D; Vit C; Curcumin; B Complex; Magnesium; Quercetin; Lipoic Acid;

I do appreciation as I got none of this from doctors I’m conflicted more than ever on how to get off PROLIA without losing bone strength & avoiding potential side effects of various Busphosphonates: AA, Zoledronic acid, Actonel.

But I had been on other ones - Evista, Actonel, Fosamax before the alendronate. Further I am currently on a proton pump inhibitor and H2 blockers, which aren't great either for the bones.

I was immediately put on Actonel, D3 and Alfacalcidol/Medirazin without any other medical tests. I was told that I will do them in November... I get my calcium mainly from seeds ,almonds, vegetables,etc. and less from dairy products. No Boron, Strontium, K2...

My gynecologist started me on oral bisphosphanate, Actonel. I had another Dexa scan in Jan. 2023. Thsi tiem it was worse. I now have osteoporosis of my left hip and lumbar spine. Doctor gave me an injection of prolia in April 2023. I am concerned about starting Prolia in my 60's.

I can try actonel but I would have to pay for that myself. $14 a week.
