Actonel 150mg x 35 mg

I have notice here by the testimonies of some of the followers, that they are using Actonel 35 mg instead of the 150mg. Any particular reason for that?

I have started last month the 150 mg, but the preference for the 35 mg is due the side effect or other?

Thanks again to all

Most people take a weekly, 35 mg dose. There's also a 5 mg daily dose and a 150 mg monthly one.

Met00 , exactly, I know that it is available these three options of dosage. But, if I´m not wrong, most of the people here, mentioned that they take weekly doses ( 35 mg) and not the montly dose ( 150mg). And I wonder why they choose that.

I think it's standard to prescribe the weekly one. I took the daily one for a year, but had to request it. When I switched to that from daily Alendronic Acid, my GP suggested maybe a weekly pill would be less likely to have side effects, but I reasoned that a bigger dose at once might actually cause more side effects. I've no idea whether that's the case.
