Is anyone taking this, and if so, what is your experience. Would you take this over Actonel or other biophosphate, and if so, why?
My Rheumatologist is suggesting this for -2.5 T score of femoral neck.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge

that’s borderline. Have you fractured?
Sorry I don’t have experience of this as I refused bisphosphonates but there is a lot of info out there including a comparison of the two drugs on drugs.com which I couldnt link to. Here’s a bit of info:
I will be getting Reclast Infusion in Aug. I really don’t have a choice. I’m relaying off of Prolia and I have Gerd. I have the same score as you.
She likes prolia too. I absolutely will not choose that. She also rejects Rems results which is confusing to me.
My Dr that put me on Prolia scared me into it. I’m so mad because if I didn’t take that shot then I wouldn’t need the Reclast. My body is so sensitive to every med. I’m afraid to get the Reclast but like I said I don’t have a choice. I’m still having side effects from Prolia and I only had 1 back in February.
I'm sorry Deb. I cannot accept Prolia for the most part because if you have had radiation, the risk of jaw necrosis multiplies. I have and do not need to try to solve a problem and create a much bigger one. I don't love any of the choices but I know at some point there will not be much choice.... my hope that there is a better solution may not happen in my lifetime. I'm watching the development of something called PepItem (a peptide) that has been highly successful in tests. If only......
Had a Reclast infusion Oct. 2023. So far, no side FX. I have 9 compression fractures. Last xray was done May 10. No new fractures, so hopefully the Reclast has kicked in. Scheduled for next infusion this October, barring anything unforeseen. All the best to you.
