Actonel side effects
Not monthly, but I took low dose, if prone to migraine, you may find they are worse, I had to stop quite quickly as I had 5 zig zag migraines in 3 weeks.
Hi. I take it weekly not monthly and the gastroresistant type. Had some weird pain down the front of my legs, particularly around knees and shins, but exercised my way through it and it went after 2 or 3 weeks I think. After about a year of taking it I was due a gastroscopy anyway, and it didn't show any deterioration of my Barrett's oesophagus. Only thing it does seem to have changed for me, was that I need a little less thyroxine now, but that could be coincidence.
Hi Verauk
I have been taking Actenol once a week for about 8 months. I sometimes get a headache and reflux during the week after taking it. But it’s not every week and I seem to be ok on it. I will have another Dexa scan in October/November and I am eager to see if it has improved my bone density. It’s pretty bad in my spine and hips.
I resisted taking meds for many a year but my Doctor felt it absolutely necessary so I gave in. I walk, and do aqua aerobics and some weight training.
All the best. You can but try.
Cheers from me Downunder.
I took it for three months. First day was fine, but the two following days I felt like I had the flu. Body aches, chills. Maybe a headache, I can’t remember. It was two years ago.
