Want to self-inject but no GP referral
I want to try buying B12 and self injecting but believe you need the first injection done in a medical setting. How do you manage this if the gp will not agree at all to it? My B12 is always in the high 1200s although I don't take supplements, and my Folate came back high at over 25 when the top of the

Help please! Adrenal fatigue?!? Addison?!?
two months ago I've found ACTH (and Ferritin) marginally over max limit while blood cortisol normal. Salivary cortisol was normal, though on the low side for the day Urinary cortisol 24h average was normal, so is blood cortisol taken this week but ACTH increased even more. What could this be? Addison

Nervous!!!
I've been on
acthar
injections (specifically for my Uveitis) and it's helped but my flares have still been popping up and in the last few months very very severe. So my Rheumatologist decided the methotrexate is best. I'm starting at an intermediate injectable dose.

Adrenal situation grim?
Hello, have been relatively stable lately on hormone substitution after Graves induced TT (2014) but I have considered to have a deeper look into adrenals activity as I felt HRT, vitamins and minerals are well enough but situation stopped improving to a certain point. Latest vitamin and test are here

I have a script for WP thyroid meds starting at lowest dose(16.25)I am currently trying to treat with selenium, zinc and small amount of potassium iodide with tyrosine. Endo kicked me out...
So I finally had an appointmemt with an endocrinologist at the Charité in Berlin, a huge and highly regarded cluster of teaching and research clinics. At the first meeting he told me to stop limiting carbs (diabetes in family, very high blood sugar levels after eating small amount of carbs) , he'll prescribe

New blood work thyroid antibodies up
For some reason my Doc tested my antibodies again and they went up. But my tsh and free t4 are ok. 2.24 & 1.3 Thyroid peroxidase ab = 127.9 up from 49 2-3 years ago and thyroglobulin ab is 7.5 up from 3.9 3.9 is normal range. Ranges were .0-9 & 0-4. I've been on 25 MCG Levo for 1-2 years or so.

Adrenal insufficiency
Could I ask for people feed back on recent BH tests? All the nhs tests, I was told, were normal (one taken in a very stressful situation in A and E. One was a short synacthen test, which gp did and said was normal) However, I paid for a BH saliva cortisol test, which came back as all 4 readings throughout

High ACTH levels despite steroid replacement
Good afternoon, everyone! I have an interesting situation, and I would appreciate your thoughts and insight. When I was first diagnosed with primary adrenal insufficiency, my ACTH levels were found to be very high, in the 9000 pg/mL range. The endocrinologist that I originally saw started me on 10 mg

Blood Work is In -- Looks Like Hashi's and Pre-Diabetes
OK, so I've written a few times on this forum, and you guys have been awesome with your analysis. Because of you, I started supplementing, and for the first time, my Vitamin D is within range (ok, it's still at the bottom, but at least it has improved -- now Dr has me on 50,000 IU a week, so it's getting

Saw 2nd Endo Today
Ok so I did wind up fasting (no coffee until 4:00 this afternoon!) and saw my second Endo this morning at 9:45. I had sent a fax outlining my symptoms along with my previous bloodwork. Dr did test for testing metabolic rate and it showed that I have been eating 430 calories LESS than what I burn, so

Hello again.... forgive me for posting yet another question.... still in the fact finding stage! Adrenals
I have finally got my appointment to see an Endo, but it's not until the end of May. As I am already taking 7.5 mgs of Pred. I can only assume I'm not a priority. Does anyone know what I can expect when seeing the Endo, I have already had the ACTH test, are there other tests to be done ? thanks
