When please?
Hello everyone, hope you're all keeping as well as possible. I've been unwell lately due to my gallbladder issue. Hospital prescribed me 2 lots of antibiotics. I have to take 3 throughout the day of one and 2 with the other. And with food. Should I still wait 3 to 4 hours after levo before taking

Please could you advise me before my appointment with my GP.It seems that the gp is going to suggest lowering my thyroxine. I presume its due to my suppressed THS as the results are as follows. THS .001 (0.27 4.20) T4 20 pmol/L (22-20) T3 5.6 pmol/L (3.2-6.8) 100mcg levo and 10 mcg T3

Best UK substitue for US Synthroid
Hi, I lived in the US for over 20 years and was prescribed Synthroid for underactive Thyroid. I found that the generic levothyroxine brand was not effective. I have moved back to the UK and would like to find a brand that is as close to Synthroid as possible. Would appreciate any recomendations.

Saliva cortisol test: should I talk to GP?
These are the results of my recent online purchased cortisol tests. The midday one was actually just above zero, the evening just below 1 (I think). I took the morning one at 6am, as I wake up stupid early all the time, and im wondering if it was too early. I have hashimotos, and take 150 levo per day

Blood test results: what to do next plus should I tell my endo?
Thanks everyone for your advice here over the last months. I’ve been on 125mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg T3 for 7 weeks now (up from 100mcg three days and 125mcg four days) and did this blood test last week, following your protocol: TSH: 0.01 (0.27 - 4.2) FT3: 5.5 (3.1 - 6.8) FT4: 21.6 (12 - 22) Iron

I recently posted here for advice on whether I need levothyroxine as I have been subclinical for 10 years and now my tsh seems to be creeping up the last few weeks from 4.88 to 5.59 and now 6.15 all in the space of 3/4 weeks. I wonder if it is linked to the introduction of testosterone, I started hrt

moving the goalposts
I don't have the figures but my daughter's normal thyroid levels are dropping year by year. Hypothyroidism is a family problem. I was diagnosed in my early 40s. In spite of this she is not being prescribed a supplement. She says they keep moving the goalposts, so just as she reaches a level which doctors

Changing to bedtime for taking my Levothyroxine
I have seen lots of posts about people taking their Levothyroxine before they go to bed. I am really struggling in the mornings having to wait an hour before eating breakfast or drinking a cup of tea before starting work. It has meant I have been setting my alarm in the morning an hour earlier which

GP note to Endo... I wonder how this will pan out... Update added
I'd received the ominous text after a blood test (which was supposed to be for all the useful vits & mins etc turns out you don't get them if they were within range last year??? 🫤) so just TSH then!... "your blood test is showing that you are still overtreated we shall be contacting your Endo
