Why does Levothyroxine cause acne for some people?
I could only stay on Levothyroxine for 5 weeks because it gave me bad acne. As soon as I stopped it, the acne went. I know I am not alone as I did a google search and found this forum; http://www.medschat.com/Discuss/Does-levothyroxine-cause-acne-198211_p1.htm My doctor doesn't believe me. I'm already

Does anyone else get bad spots and is worried about progesterone making them worse with the Mirena Coil? Bad endo and bad acne.
I know that progesterone makes my spots worse. I'm not talking about simple zits but big (inch diameter) and full of (sorry) muck. I hope this isn't a case of 'too much information' below. I get spots that are so infected the local glands will swell painfully to try and help fight the infection.

Please help us identify better ways of treating acne through our collaboration with the Acne Academy
The Acne Priority Setting Partnership was set up in November 2012 to bring together people with acne and healthcare providers in order to identify and then prioritise unanswered questions about acne treatments. We would like to invite you to complete our survey and tell us what questions about acne

Endo and acne
Just wondering if anyone suffers from acne? I've always been convinced its was due to my raging hormones and since my lap in April my skin has got worse!

TACE
Well it will be soon to have another procedure (TACe) and you could sayit took me about 2 weeks to get over it because of the pain at the last minute of procedure. I had to have an Echo on heart prior and wonder if one has this test just before having the TACE??? on each occasion.

I'm passionate about improving acne treatments - are you?
I am almost 60 and had acne until I was 37. As an undergraduate, I got the chance to work on acne and have never stopped. I've very conscious how improvements in how we treat acne have slowed down in recent years after the rapid strides of the 60s, 70s and 80s. I'm now project managing the Acne Priority

Anyone else suffer with acne and have any ideas how to treat it?
I've always suffered from acne and tried many treatments as a teenager. The one thing that did work for me was going on the pill. But obviously with trying for a baby and waiting for my next Endo op I had to come off it and now my acne is worse than ever! It's bad enough dealing with Endo without having

Rituximab in Thyroid Associated Orbitopathy (early report)
Very early report on use of rituximab in Thyroid Associated Orbitopathy (also known as Graves' Eye Disease, and various other names). That this approach appears to work is itself of interest. Also, while not wanting to be negative, it might be some time before this approach gets out of Italy and beyond

Help with hypo and cardio symptoms appreciated.
My GP has prescribed
ACE
inhibitors
and calcium channel blockers, neither of which had any effect on my blood pressure. She has finally decided to refer me to an endo. I also have Reynaud's syndrome (circulatory issues).
