Hormonal Acne - Something finally worked for me!
Hi everyone! I'll try keep this as short as possible. I suffered from acne pretty badly around the age of 11 for a few years, took Roaccutane, it cleared up, medication did it's job. Fast forward to now, I'm 30 ish, lovely basic good quality skincare, no smoking, alcohol, good diet (or so I thought

Awful
I just asked chatGPT what effects Roaccutane has on the brain. It told me that it causes damage to the hypothalamus, hippocampus, prefrontal cortex and serotonin system, and is commonly linked to depression and anxiety. SO… how am i supposed to deal with all of this? i’m going through such mental health

filled with sadness and frustration
Taking a medication called roaccutane 20years ago has ruined my life. It has damaged my brain and i’ve been living with these awful side effects all through my 20s and 30s. I’m utterly fed up with chronic head pains, scorched sensations, cognitive problems, brain numbness/deadness, ringing in my head

Supplements while taking Accutane?
Hi I'm looking to get some advice I'm starting
Accutane
for my skin and I was wondering if anyone has taken it? I'm trying to research what supplements to take while on it (side affects can include higher cholesterol, inflamed liver) and I can't find much.

Could I have cirrhosis?
I am 28 years old. I have spider angiomas on my chest and palmar erythema on my hand. I used antipsychotic and antidepressant drugs for a long time. I have sometimes taken flu meds and roaccutane along with these meds. My doctor said it's nothing to worry about. But high direct bilirubin worries me.

Armour Thyriod (blood work results)
FYI at that time I started
Accutane
40mg once daily for acne. Today the dermatologist increased it to 60mg. I’ve heard this medication affects thyroid.

Random Vent I guess ?
I have decided I want to get rid of my acne (it’s been bugging me on and off for years and it’s gotten really bad again) so I am going on
accutane
. You aren’t supposed to drink on this med for 6 months or so … so I have no choice but to try and do this for me.

Blushing on accutane?
Hi all. My dermatologists just started me on 10mg isotretinoin three times a week for adult acne. I now blush frequently and this can last for hours. I have only been o. The treatment for about a week. Could the isotretinoin cause side effects so soon and at such a low dose?

2nd month of roaccutane and acne’s got 10 x worse
Hi there, I’m in my 6th, nearly 7th week of taking roaccutane. Was initially on 20mg, Currently on 40mg but my acne is getting 10x worse and I’m just concerned because my acne hasn’t been this bad before. It’s quite upsetting and frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Tattoo after isotretinoin?
I was just after some advice on getting tattooed after
accutane
, I know the general rule is to wait 6months but I feel this is quite a long time, I’ve googled and researched about it and some derms say 1 year some 6 months some 2 months and some 2 weeks. I really (really) want this tattoo done.

Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) possible trigger of Hashimotos?
I was looking through an old diary and realised I got diagnosed with hashimotos 6 weeks after coming off the drug roaccutane. After a bit of googling I did find a study suggesting maybe roaccutane is an environmental trigger for hashimotos. Just wondering if anyone else has made this personal link or

Has anyone with Lupus been prescribed Isotretinoin/Accutane for acne?
I wanted to know if anyone else has been on
Accutane
/Isotretinoin and might have some advice or can share their own experience with the drug? At the moment my anxiety is through the roof, and I’m considering calling my doctor to just stop taking it. Thanks!
